A Kick Worth a Thousand Words

News:

The Foreign Office of Pakistan on Saturday summoned the ambassador of Norway to convey the “deep concern” of the Government and people of Pakistan over an incident of desecration of the Holy Quran in the Norwegian city of Kristiansand. (Source: Dawn)

Comment:

The brave action of the young man Umar Ilyas where he displayed his belief in his full strength by kicking Lars Thorsen, the leader of “stop Islamisation of Norway” (SIAN), who was attempting to burn a Quran in a public demonstration, not only gives hope and pride to the entire Ummah but is a very strong message for the leaders who are acting as silent spectators to all the blasphemies, desecrations and brutalities that are being inflicted on this Ummah. The Pakistan military’s chief spokesman praised the young man and gave him a salute for his bravery while the Pakistan Foreign Office summoned the Norwegian ambassador to register the protest and concern. Neither does the DG ISPR seem to know that this young man is in no need of his praise and salute, nor does the Foreign Office understand that its job is not over after registering the protest.

The Muslim Ummah deserves this display of courage from its leaders and protectors, and the displayed support and love for this young man shows how a true leader and protector will be recognized by his actions instead of his speech. Umar got up and did what was the need of time according to the command of Allah (swt) and he became a hero in an instant in the eyes of people and must be rewarded for this. This boy reminded us of the courage of Sultan AbdulHamid, when in 1889, the French staged a play mocking RasulAllah (saw), written by Voltaire. The French ambassador was duly called upon by the Khaleefah and was first made to wait for few hours then the Caliph came out in full battle dress and laid a sword out in front of the French diplomat and was ordered to leave. As France got the serious message, they stopped the play immediately.

The same warning was issued to Britain when it hesitated to ban the play, replying it would be an intrusion on the freedom of its citizens. In reply, the Caliph issued an edict in clear terms, “I will issue an edict to the Islamic Ummah declaring that Britain is insulting our Prophet. I will declare Jihad.” And that was time when the Caliphate was facing troubles. Does this leave us with any excuses in the name of “peace” and “diplomacy”. What Imran Khan and other Muslim leaders need to learn is that no words are big enough when the Ummah is in need of action. We, the people of Muslim Ummah, are in desperate need of a leadership that will jump like a lion crossing all the falsely erected fences to save the desecration of innocent Muslims. We are waiting for that fierce kick that will jolt the treacherous Kuffar and will teach them a lesson. We are desperately in need of a Caliphate that will remind us of all the great caliphs we have heard of.

“Against them make ready your strength to the utmost of your power, including steeds of war, to strike terror into (the hearts of) the enemies, of Allah and your enemies, and others besides, whom ye may not know, but whom Allah doth know. Whatever ye shall spend in the cause of Allah, shall be repaid unto you, and ye shall not be treated unjustly.” [8:60]
