Decisions and Actions of Secular Regimes are based upon Securing their Thrones by Giving Away the Nation’s Natural Resource to the Imperialists
Only the Khilafah will take Appropriate Steps to Explore Natural Resources and Distribute the Benefits to the Ummah
Last June, on the pretext of acute gas crisis, Hasina government increased gas price, signed deals with Qatar and other countries to import millions of tons of LNG annually for the next 15 years, and nearly doubled most non-residential gas tariffs as a result of this LNG imports. But, according to the newly framed "Offshore Model PSC (Product Sharing Contract) 2019", the government is now allowing international oil companies to export gas explored from Bangladesh’s offshore blocks in the Bay of Bengal under the excuse of efficiency in production, subduing the very interest of the country, to benefit its Western colonialist masters and their allies. When using the gas crisis this anti-people government is smothering the common people by increasing its price frequently, it has decided to provide the international oil companies with more incentives like increase of gas price (from $6.50 to $7.25 per thousand cubic feet) and exemption of tariff! The Ummah in Bangladesh is enduring great sufferings from the treachery of these so-called democratic rulers. On one hand, our resources are being given away to the Imperialist Kafir-Mushrik leaving our strategic energy resources at high risk, and on the other hand we have to buy our own resources at higher price from them, and for all these we have to take the burden of cost on our shoulders.
O Muslims! These so-called democratic governments care little for your economic wellbeing and the vital resources of the nation. They did nothing to explore our oil and gas resources, never performed regular maintenance nor put focus on capacity enhancement, let alone utilizing coal and uranium resources already discovered. Instead, by trapping the people under artificially created huge shortage of gas and electricity, they have given out “quick rental” and rental power generation contracts at extremely high costs through corrupt practices. To recover these costs Hasina government has kept on increasing power tariffs frequently, and is still planning for more increases under IMF directions thereby putting huge burden on the general people. This situation is then used by these corrupt politicians to justify foreign looting of the nation’s resources in the name of production sharing contracts, foreign direct investments, building expensive LNG terminals etc.
O Muslims! Natural gas and other resources are gifts from Allah (swt). According to Islam, natural gas is public property, and every citizen of the state has the right to benefit from the natural gas. The secular regime of Bangladesh only exists to protect the interest of the foreign companies and their colonialist masters as their basis of decisions, and their actions are based upon securing their thrones by ensuring the interests of their masters. Your resources are not safe in the hands of these secular regimes. O Muslims! They will not allow you to enjoy the rightful benefits of the natural resources of the country. We will not get exhausted in giving your reminders after reminder that it is only the Khilafah Rashidah (rightly guided Caliphate) on the method of Prophethood that can rule according to the Shariah and free the natural resources from the dominance of the foreign enemies. The imminent righteous Khilafah will be the only authority, which will give comprehensive guidelines on how to use these resources for the benefit of Ummah. Messenger of Allah (saw) said:
«الْمُسْلِمُونَ شُرَكَاءُ فِي ثَلَاثٍ: فِي الْمَاءِ وَالْكَلَإِ وَالنَّارِ»
“The Muslims are partners in three things: water, pasture and fire, and their price are unlawful.” (Ahmad, Ibn Majah)
