The Appeal of Eastern Ghouta Residents to International Forums is like Seeking Refuge from Heat in Fire!
Last Sunday, the brutal regime targeted a popular market and a children's school in Eastern Ghouta with several artillery shells, killing and injuring dozens of civilians, including children and women.
Here is Eastern Ghouta, like other Syrian provinces, paying a heavy price, where figures show that more than 18,000 people, including about 6,000 children and women, were killed, besides being subjected to a horrendous massacre by chemical weapons on the 21st August 2013. Images of skeletal babies continue to be posted on the media and internet to convey the suffering of about 400,000 of its population.
Those trapped in Eastern Ghouta live in conflict while facing hunger and disease, where humanitarian aid is scarce, and food and medicines are highly scarce, and they are unable to afford to buy what is rarely available of them, whereas, the last UN aid convoy entered on 23rd September of last year for the relief of approximately 25,000 people trapped in the cities of East Harasta, Misraba and Madeira, despite Security Council Resolution 2254 on the renewal of the permit for humanitarian aid access to Syria.
How come the Security Council, which was established to achieve the interests of the greedy colonial countries in the Muslim countries… how come it does not lift the injustice of this brutal regime and remove the adversity from the Muslims’ children!! But the wonder is when we see the governments of the Muslim countries rushing to it asking for its help, aid and to investigate the crimes, as if they were concerned with the victory for the oppressed or with achieving justice!
This is in addition to the statistics of organizations and associations, the latest of which was the report of the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) that more than one thousand children in Eastern Ghouta suffer from acute malnutrition, which left us to wonder: What resulted from such reports, which we are accustomed to, tallying the dead, hungry and wounded Muslims who are suffering everywhere? Have these reports stopped the alliance air raids and the regime from committing its massacres!! Have the existing states in the Islamic world moved when they read these reports or even when they saw the shocking images of skeletal children?! Or has this tragic news and the enormity of the humanitarian catastrophe in Eastern Ghouta turned into something natural, expected to persist, and even escalate, like other calamities that plague the Islamic Ummah?!
International law has categorized the crimes committed in Syria as the most serious, since March 2011. At the end of 2017, the disastrous humanitarian situation and the crimes against unarmed civilians continue to be exacerbated by constant shelling, permanent siege and the pursuit of a deliberate policy of starvation against civilians in the rebellious areas, which is considered one of the means of this barbaric war. All this proves the complicity of everyone in conspiring against this revolution since its outbreak. It also attests the weakness of Muslim rulers, led by Erdogan who rushed to enter Idlib, implementing the recommendations of the negotiators in Astana without hesitation, while thousands suffer and cry out of hunger and disease, but they find no one to relieve them and no helper for them except Allah Almighty, who we ask to provide near relief for the Muslims in general and the people of Syria in particular, who have the glad tidings from the Hadeeth of the Messenger of Allah (saw):«إِنَّ فُسْطَاطَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ يَوْمَ الْمَلْحَمَةِ بِالْغُوطَةِ، إِلَى جَانِبِ مَدِينَةٍ يُقَالُ لَهَا: دِمَشْقُ، مِنْ خَيْرِ مَدَائِنِ الشَّامِ»“The pavilion of the Muslims on the day of the battle will be in Ghouta near a city called Damascus, the best city in Sham.”
