Dawah around the World: Reject IMF, Establish Khilafah

Assalamualaikum Wa Rahmatullah wa Barakatu,

Welcome to today’s episode of Dawah around the World- Reject IMF, Establish Khilafah.

Hizb ut Tahrir in Wilayah Pakistan launched a strong campaign on social media to invite Muslims to reject the International Monetary Fund and adopt the Islamic economic system applied by the Khilafah State on the method of the Prophet hood, bi'ithnillah.

Decades upon decades the leaders of the Pakistan have fallen deeper and deeper into the pool of debt, never being able to be independent from the loans they have drowned themselves in. The IMF recently has been demanding the state of Pakistan to negotiate on these loans, their conditions and interest attached to them.

Pakistan has sought many bailout packages from the IMF which have only made matters worse for them. Now, we see the same rhetoric repeating itself, this time with the new leader, Imran Khan.

The IMF has been pressuring the regime to privatize public property such as oil, gas and minerals, depriving the public of its right and allowing the small elite to benefit at suffering of the rest. Muhammad SAW said «الْمُسْلِمُونَ شُرَکَاءُ فِي ثَلاثٍ الْمَاءِ وَالْكَلَأِ وَالنَّارِ» “Muslims are partners in three things: water, pastures and fire (energy)” [Abu Dawood.]

So, for the regime to participate in such a thing is strongly unacceptable from Islam! It doesn’t end there, the IMF also demands that the currency – Rupee - is linked to the dollar which means it iss hugely devalued leading to the extortionate rise of prices! It means raising taxes and increasing the prices of utilities – burdening none other than the people of Pakistan who are already struggling with their daily expenses and further breaking their injured backs! This also hugely cripples the industrial and agricultural sectors which play a key role in the economy of Pakistan, yet their businesses suffer when the prices are so high.

All of this has been due to the authorities of Pakistan turning to and working with the IMF whose ONLY aim is to secure their own interests and set the future direction of Pakistan. They attach no worth to human life and sense no wrong in the pain and suffering they’ve directly caused!

Pakistan is a unique piece of Land. It has energy resources to provide its own electricity. Fertile land to feeds its own people -its agriculture is plentiful -the country is one of the world's top ten producers of wheat, cotton, sugarcane, mango, dates and oranges, as well as to cultivate enough food to export many of its crops.

It has an army to defend its own people. All the ingredients to be independent. Yet, it lacks purely when it comes to vision! Ideological vision! With all that it is been blessed with, Pakistan now needs a dynamic leadership which allows development and self flourishing to happen which it is MORE than capable to achieve...alone! Independently! This system is the Islamic Khilafah system.

This campaign – with the hashtag Reject IMF Establish Khilafah- seeks to prove this to the people of Pakistan, by showing them the facts behind the relationship between the IMF and the regime and proving how only the Khilafah system can solve all the problems Pakistan face and once and for all rid the corruption, poverty and neglect witnessed by the innocent people of the nation!

It is only the Khilafah which will reflect the true sentiment, beliefs and values of the nation and see this implemented in every sphere of their lives.
