Dawah around the World: The Fatwa of Selangor

AssalamuAlaykum WRWB,

Welcome to today’s episode of Dawah around the World – The Fatwa of Selangor.

The Department of Islamic Affairs of the State of Nejeri Sembilan – also known as JHEAINS – prepared a Friday sermon entitled “The Threat of Deviant Teachings on Muslims,” which was read out throughout the masjids around the state of Selangor. Hizb ut Tahrir made the list and was categorized as a deviant group alongside; Shi’ah, Wahabi, Liberalism, Millah Ibrahim, anti-Hadith groups and others.

Not only did they do this in the most blessed days of Dhul Hijjah – at a time when the entire Muslim Ummah show a sense of true unity putting aside all their differences, but they have slandered Hizb ut Tahrir and attempted to defame and insult it. JHEAINS made a big mistake in doing so because accusing a fellow Muslim as deviant is not a trivial matter!!

In 2016, Hizb ut Tahrir Malaysia had witnessed a similar situation when the Selangor Islamic Religious Department (JAIS) made the same error, accusing the Hizb of deviancy! It was responded with a FIRM accountability to warn the department of their mischief and explained that the fatwa issued by Selangor is full of defamation. Now, instead of reflecting upon this past event and avoiding to fall into the same sin. Sadly, JHEAINS KNOWINGLY issued the same slander!

It is nonsensical for JHEAINS, JAIS or any other group, institute or department to say anything against Hizb ut Tahrir because the sincere Shabab carry the Da'wah day and night to invite in the way Allah upon HIS swt’s commands. In order to restore the life of Islam, by establishing the Khilafah Rashidah on the method of the Prophethood, the Hizb has accepted this work of the Prophet (SAW) and has adopted its method to do so.

Allah SWT says in Surah Al Mai-dah ayah 49, Bismillah HirRahmanNirRaheem:

وَأَنِ احْكُم بَيْنَهُم بِمَا أَنزَلَ اللَّهُ وَلَا تَتَّبِعْ أَهْوَاءَهُمْ وَاحْذَرْهُمْ أَن يَفْتِنُوكَ عَن بَعْضِ مَا أَنزَلَ اللَّهُ إِلَيْكَ ۖ فَإِن تَوَلَّوْا فَاعْلَمْ أَنَّمَا يُرِيدُ اللَّهُ أَن يُصِيبَهُم بِبَعْضِ ذُنُوبِهِمْ ۗ وَإِنَّ كَثِيرًا مِّنَ النَّاسِ لَفَاسِقُونَ

“And govern between them with what Allah has revealed and don't follow their desires and beware that they might seduce you from some of what Allah has revealed upon you.”

It is clear that the only path to success is with the full implementation of Islam, be it in worships, transactions, morals, or systems! Allah SWT clearly states for us the way in which this should be achieved.

Bismillah HirRahmanNirRaheem:

مَّا أَفَاءَ اللَّهُ عَلَىٰ رَسُولِهِ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْقُرَىٰ فَلِلَّهِ وَلِلرَّسُولِ وَلِذِي الْقُرْبَىٰ وَالْيَتَامَىٰ وَالْمَسَاكِينِ وَابْنِ السَّبِيلِ كَيْ لَا يَكُونَ دُولَةً بَيْنَ الْأَغْنِيَاءِ مِنكُمْ ۚ وَمَا آتَاكُمُ الرَّسُولُ فَخُذُوهُ وَمَا نَهَاكُمْ عَنْهُ فَانتَهُوا ۚ وَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ ۖ إِنَّ اللَّهَ شَدِيدُ الْعِقَابِ

“Whatever the Messenger brought you take it, and whatever he forbids you abstain from it."  Surah Al- Hashr verse 7

It is with this, today the Hizb aims to bring back the Islamic Khilafah STATE which the prophet SAW brought to the world over 14 thousand years ago. Just as He SAW struggled and strived in Makkah within the intellectual domains, calling all to the Islamic ideas and principles – The Hizb today mirror this - calling on everyone to adopt them and have them manifested in society through the implementation of Islam.

Hizb ut-Tahrir has experienced many false charges like these fatwas before, even actions that are more evil than this, but the owner of the truth will continue to confront the follower of evil, his wickedness and hostile cruelty. All this has been done by those who are much harder, stronger and more corrupt, but they never get the slightest good because the truth is very clear and strong, whilst falsehood is very fragile.
