| Hizb ut-Tahrir Wilayah of Sudan convenes Rajab conference |

On 17th July 2009, Hizb ut-Tahrir Wilayah of Sudan convened a large gathering in Khartoum on the anniversary of the destruction of the Islamic Khilafah. At the gathering, numerous leading personalities and representatives of political parties reminded those in attendance of the need for unity of the state and the importance of the Khilafah in uniting the Muslims and their lands. Over 2000 people attended the gathering.

| Hizb ut-Tahrir Kenya holds conference on anniversary of Caliphate's destruction |

On the occasion of the 87th anniversary of the destruction of the Caliphate, Hizb ut-Tahrir Kenya held a Khilafah conference on Sunday 3rd August 2008 in Mombasa. Speeches were delivered in Swahili, English and Arabic.
