The Leverage Behind the War: Why the Muslim Ummah Is the True Geopolitical Power

The decades-long massacre in Palestine, coupled with the "strength" of the Jewish entity backed by the United States, has historically portrayed these enemies of Allah as formidable and invincible nations. However, the current conflict involving America and the Jewish entity against Iran has demonstrated the leverage possessed by just one Muslim country (Iran), should it be genuinely mobilized to defeat the enemies of Islam, particularly America and the Jewish entity. And that is merely one country.

In truth, the strength of the Muslim Ummah has long been evident, long before the American-Iranian war. America, widely acknowledged as a global superpower, has in reality never achieved true victory in Iraq or Afghanistan. Indeed, it was forced into a hasty and humiliating retreat from Afghanistan. Long before that, America also failed to secure victory in Vietnam.

Furthermore, observing their current actions in Gaza, it is apparent that neither America nor the Jewish entity has emerged victorious. They have yet to achieve their strategic objectives in Gaza, despite the enclave being besieged, weakened, incapacitated, and deprived of weaponry and even sustenance. Yet, even under such circumstances, these enemies of Allah remain unable to claim victory!

Thus, if we look beyond the smoke of the battlefield, the reality is vastly different. The facts on the ground indicate that the perceived invincibility of America and the Jewish entity is merely a myth. Iran has proven that the Muslim Ummah inherently possesses the leverage capable of bringing any major world power to its knees in a short span of time.

The question then arises: why has this strength not been mobilized all this time? The answer is unequivocal: we lost our shield and singular political institution – the Khilafah (Caliphate) – and since its fall in 1924, the Muslim Ummah has been led by rulers who are both treacherous and cowardly.

Natural Wealth: The Economic Pulse in Our Grasp

Muslim nations are not barren lands reliant on Western charity. Conversely, we are the owners of the "engines" that drive modern civilization.

• - Energy Reserves: Muslims control approximately 60% to 70% of the world's crude oil reserves and nearly 45% of global natural gas reserves (Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries [OPEC], 2024; BP, 2023).

• - Mineral Wealth: Ranging from gold in Sudan to lithium and rare earth deposits in Afghanistan, which are estimated to be worth over USD 1 trillion (U.S. Geological Survey [USGS], 2021).

Deprived of access to these resources, Western capitalist economies would suffer hyperinflation and total industrial paralysis. Allah (swt) has bestowed this leverage as a sacred trust for the glory of Islam, not to be subjugated by foreign corporations through a corrupt economic system.

Strategic Geography: “Choke Points” and the Control of the Strait of Malacca

Allah (swt) has positioned the Muslim Ummah in the most critical geographical locations. We hold the "jugular veins" of global trade through maritime choke points that lack economically viable alternatives:

• - The Strait of Malacca: This is the primary artery in the East. Facilitating 25% to 35% of global commodities trade, it is an indispensable transit route for energy supplies to economic powerhouses such as China, Japan, and South Korea (U.S. Energy Information Administration [EIA], 2023).

• - The Suez Canal and Bab al-Mandab: Controlling the flow of 12% to 15% of global trade, bridging Europe and Asia.

• - The Strait of Gibraltar: The primary gateway governing access to the Mediterranean Sea.

Whoever commands these routes dictates the rules of global trade.

The Strait of Hormuz: Irrefutable Proof of Our Supremacy

Should the world doubt the strategic leverage of the Muslim Ummah, one need only looks at the Strait of Hormuz. Through this narrow chokepoint, nearly 21 million barrels of oil transit daily – accounting for approximately 21% of global daily consumption (EIA, 2023).

Facts unequivocally prove that the mere threat of disruption in this strait is sufficient to send shockwaves through Wall Street stock markets. This is tangible proof that we possess a strategic weapon far more effective than ballistic missiles; we hold the power to halt the heartbeat of the global economy.

The Khilafah: Military Unification and the Promise of Victory

Envision a future conflict where all 50-plus Muslim nations unite under the single umbrella of a Righteous Caliphate (Khilafah Rashidah).

• - Military Unification: With a consolidated military force combining over 5 million active-duty personnel – the largest collective military presence globally – our leverage would become unassailable (International Institute for Strategic Studies [IISS], 2024).

• - Divine Assistance from Allah (swt): Through adherence to the Shariah and the closing of ranks, the promise of victory from Allah (swt) will inevitably come to pass. The materialistic might of the West will never match an Ummah that receives direct assistance from the Creator of the universe, Allah (swt).

The US: A "Paper Giant" Easy to Fall

The US appears formidable solely due to the fragmentation of the Muslim Ummah. In reality, the US is a fragile empire burdened by a national debt exceeding USD 34 trillion (U.S. Department of the Treasury, 2024).

Their dominance relies entirely upon the Petrodollar system. If Muslims were to exercise their leverage – securing strategic chokepoints, halting energy supplies, and rejecting the usurious financial system by returning to the Dinar and Dirham – the US would easily collapse. They would be entirely unable to fund their war machine if their domestic economy crumbled due to the loss of access to our resources and transit routes.

Conclusion: The Ummah Need Not Fear

The Muslim Ummah need not worry or feel inferior. We possess all the requisite instruments to lead the world once more. What is missing is merely a Unifier of the Ummah – a Caliph who possesses Iman the courage to utilize all this leverage for the sake of Islam and the Muslims.

The time has come for us to stop being pawns on the Western chessboard and to become the grandmasters who dictate the rules of the world. Just as demonstrated by the Messenger of Allah (saw), victory begins with the unification of faith (Aqeedah) and resolute political leadership.
