After Sheikh Hasina, Bangladesh Still Suffers from Economic Colonialism

On 5 July Ashik Chowdhury, executive chairman of the Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA), announced, “We are inviting investors to partner in reviving state-owned enterprises through private sector investment” [The Daily Star].

The extensive privatization of state-owned enterprises (SOEs) is a colonialist requirement and a key pillar of the IMF economic package. It deprives the state treasury of huge revenues from lucrative sectors of the economy for years and decades, whilst the state treasury then receives much smaller funds, from the immediate sale of the enterprises and taxation upon their production. In any case, most of what the state treasury receives is given up as interest payments to the colonialist institutions, whilst it is deprived of substantial revenues that makes the economy even more dependent on foreign loans. Not surprisingly, the Muslims of Bangladesh remain in a deep economic crisis after their dynamic, intelligent and fearless youth rebelled against the regime of Sheikh Hasina. Clearly, the new leadership has failed to deliver a real change. The new faces are merely implementing the old failed project in all its key elements. It is clear that the Muslims must turn their full attention to the real project of change: the Khilafah Rashidah (rightly guided Caliphate) and its Shariah economic system.

Putin-Trump Phone Call: Muslims Must Abandon Clinging to Major Powers, And Become a Major Power Through Islam

On 4 July Russia’s Presidential Aide Yury Ushakov stated, regarding a phone call between President Putin and his American counterpart, Trump, that, “We have confirmed our readiness to provide practical assistance with the de-escalation and stabilisation efforts in the region. On his part, Donald Trump thanked the Russian side for our balanced stance and constructive proposals.” [The Kremlin].

Thus, Russia confirms its enmity of Muslims by extending support to Trump’s New Middle East, where the Jewish entity is empowered and expanded, whilst the Muslim states are progressively weakened. Clearly, clinging to any major power is a flawed strategy. Yet, since the time of the traumatic British occupation of the Indian Subcontinent, the leaderships of Muslims adopted the clinging to major powers for any project, economic, political, military or cultural. They maintained this clinging because they believed that bargaining with powerful states is the only way to access power for Muslim states. This flawed thinking is the reason that even after Britain withdrew from the region, its colonialism was merely replaced by that of the United States. Moreover, this flawed thinking is so deeply rooted that even those who want to escape from the United States, look to Russia or China, even though they are also colonialist states, who have waged war on Islam and Muslims continuously. In reality, colonialist powers exploit relationships with Muslim states in order to secure their interests, whilst denying the Muslims theirs. Our power, glory and dignity do not lie at the gates of Washington, London, Paris, Moscow or Beijing; they all lie in the re-establishment of Islam as a ruling governance. It was Islam that maintained the Ummah as the leading state of all humanity for centuries, a record that cannot be matched by any of the existing major powers, due to the corruption of their ideologies and foreign policies.

Gas Prices in Pakistan: Fuel is Public Property in Shariah Law, Its Benefit and Price is for the Needs of the Islamic Ummah

The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (Ogra) of Pakistan has notified an around 15pc increase in the price of Regasified Liquefied Natural Gas (RLNG) for sales at the distribution stage by the two Sui gas companies for the current month. [Dawn].

The government is continually notifying increases in the price of fuel, crippling industry and transport. Each notification comes with increasingly flimsy justifications, that are not even worthy of mention, let alone refutation. Fundamentally, the solution to the fuel crisis is not increasing military oversight to improve implementation of the existing capitalist policies for the fuel sector. The economic system is not economic science, and so does not improve through merely improving technologies, logistics, command and control. It is small wonder that the new breed of “militarized economists” are scratching their heads, whilst searching in the most unlikely of places for new ideas, including a fuel solution. Fundamentally, the capitalist economic system deprives the community at large of the abundant fuel resources of the Ummah, by obligating their handing over to private companies, through privatization. Radically, the real fuel solution is the efficient implementation of the Shariah ruling regarding fuel. Our beloved Master, the Messenger of Allah (saw) said, «الْمُسْلِمُونَ شُرَكَاءُ فِي ثَلاَثٍ الْمَاءِ وَالْكَلإِ وَالنَّارِ»“The Muslims are partners in three things: water, pastures and fire.” [Ahmad]. In Arabic language, fire is a metaphor (كناية kinayah) for fuel (وقود wuqood). Fuel is neither privatized nor nationalized. It is supervised by the Khilafah Rashidah, so that both its benefit and price are both deployed for fulfilling the Shariah obligations towards the community.

Afghanistan-Bangladesh Meeting: The Relationship Between Muslim Authorities Must Be on the Basis of the Islamic Ruling System

On 4 July 2026, Taliban Foreign Minister Amir Khan Muttaqi met Bangladeshi Parliament Speaker Hafiz Uddin Ahmad during his visit to Tehran. The Taliban Foreign Ministry said the talks focused on expanding bilateral ties, particularly trade cooperation. [Afghanistan International].

Whilst it brings smiles to faces when Muslims meet each other to increase ties, hopes are let down because of the framing of these ties. The framing of the ties is within the context of the nation state. This framing prevents the huge potential in undertaking actual unification and full integration of Muslims and their resources. The Shariah ruling regarding Muslim authorities is not of mutual cooperation between separate entities. Shariah obligates their unification under a single emirate (إمارة imaarah). The Khaleefah (caliph) is the single head of state of the entire Islamic Ummah. He appoints rulers for regional authorities, the wilayaat (ولايات provinces), which are all under his command. The result is far stronger than limited bilateral cooperation. Of course, this ruling formation is not to be mistaken for the secular presidential system, because the Khaleefah, and the rulers he appoints, all rule by Shariah Law. With this unique formation of ruling authority, the Khaleefah will command a single army formed from the battle formations of the entire Islamic Ummah, receive revenues from all the regions of the Muslim World and spend upon the Muslims wherever they may live in the Khilafah. Allah (swt) said,

[وَاعْتَصِمُوا بِحَبْلِ اللَّهِ جَمِيعًا وَلَا تَفَرَّقُوا]

“Hold fast to the rope of Allah and do not be divided.” [TMQ Surah Aali Imran 3: 103]. Ibn Kathir stated in his Tafsir that, أمرهم بالجماعة ونهاهم عن التفرقة “He orders the Muslims to be a single community and He (swt) forbids them from dividing.”

The Path for Iran to Escape US CENTCOM: The Unification of the Muslims Under a Single Imam Will End Foreign Interference in Security

On 3 July 2026, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi questioned the role of the US Central Command (CENTCOM) in regional security, stressing that sustainable peace in the Middle East can only be achieved through an inclusive framework free from external interference. [Tasnim News]

The political leadership of Iran must take the lead from the attempts of the military leadership to maintain the independence of Iran. The political leadership must abandon its legacy thinking, built over five decades during which Iran accepted to be a satellite in the orbit of US foreign policy, in order to secure a regional strategic depth. The political leadership must be dynamic in sensing the new parameters that the US has set, within the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), through which the US will hack any regional influence to pieces, within a period of years. The only way for the political leadership to set a new course is to hold fast to the Shariah Law of Allah (swt), purely and unconditionally. Indeed, the Muslims of Iran are in position to lead the entire Ummah in an Islamic revolution against American colonialism, in a decisive confrontation. They must demand that their political leadership abandon sectarianism and nationalism, for the sake of the Islamic identity, upon which the entire Islamic Ummah can be unified under a single Imam. In this way the militaries of Turkey, Iran and Pakistan will be gathered under a single Imam, before which the US armed forces will have no choice but to withdraw, just as the weakened and exhausted armed forces of Britain, France and other European powers withdrew, after the attritive World War Two. Why should the sons of Imam Jaafar As-Sadiq, the teacher of Imam Abu Hanifah, may Allah (swt) have mercy upon both, deny themselves this great honor?

Tear Down Trump’s New Middle East, By Establishing the Khilafah Rashidah and Liberating Al-Masjid Al-Aqsa

On 1 July 2026, U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) reported that it “led a regional security dialogue hosted by the Bahrain Defense Force, July 1, for regional defense leaders from 12 nations... Adm. Brad Cooper, CENTCOM commander, and senior military officials from Bahrain, Egypt, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Syria, the United Arab Emirates, and Yemen discussed the current regional security environment and opportunities for enhancing defense collaboration across the region.” [U.S. Central Command].

This meeting is yet another step in the consolidation of Trump’s New Middle East, which includes mixing the Muslim states that have already normalized with the Jewish entity, with those who have yet to do so, so that they are all soiled by the same sin and treachery. The US plan thus extends beyond the twelve Arab states to include the Ajm (non-Arab) states of Iran, Pakistan and Bangladesh. Trump’s Board of Peace, including its military component, is part of this evil plan to extend the normalization with the Jewish entity across the entire Islamic Ummah. For the pleasure of Allah (swt), and fearing none but Him (swt), the Muslims amongst the Arab and the Ajm must persist in their rejection of normalization with the Jewish entity and in their demand for the mobilization of the armies of Muslims for the liberation of Al-Masjid Al-Aqsa, under the leadership of a rightly-guided Khaleefah.
