Fighting Flies While the Swamp Remains!
News:
In a post, Minister of Justice Akın Gürlek stated that, in line with the vision of the “2026–2035 Decade of Family and Population” put forward by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and “Presidential Circular No. 2026/4,” efforts to protect children, the institution of the family, and public order are being pursued with determination.
“As a result of the assignment of undercover investigators, technical and physical surveillance, witness statements, digital examinations, and video recordings, simultaneous detention, search, and seizure operations were carried out; narcotic substances and a large amount of digital material were seized; and measures were imposed to block access to numerous social media accounts and websites. Regarding the financial dimension of the investigations, MASAK examinations concerning associations that promote LGBT and immorality found that some associations had received large amounts of funding from public institutions abroad and foreign organizations. The source of these money transfers and their connection with the activities subject to the investigations are being examined,” he said. (14.09.2026, Agencies)
Comment:
First and foremost, the task of rulers is to protect those under their authority before immorality, debauchery, what is forbidden, and harm arise. While the existence of the secular capitalist order is itself the greatest calamity and affliction for society, the claims of rulers who govern by it that they will protect the people, the family, future generations, and the streets and make them safe are meaningless from the outset.
In an order that is itself the source of the swamp, generations have for years been slipping away one by one before our eyes, the institution of the family has been decaying from within, and foreign-sourced funds have been wrapping themselves around our social life like a poisonous vine and corrupting our atmosphere. Against this background, settling for token operations and presenting this as determination is thought-provoking. Both the command and the morality of Islam require taking precautions before danger comes knocking and erecting a barrier before evil takes root.
Moreover, I believe that even a superficial look makes it necessary to ask the following questions: Have the state's intelligence, surveillance, and financial-control capabilities only just come into existence? Millions of dollars in suspicious funds transferred from abroad were flowing yesterday as well, and organizations targeting the sanctity and honor of society were operating yesterday as well. So what is the factor that kept them silent then but presses the operation button today? On what legal basis are these environments, which spread so much corruption and have become nests of filth, able to carry out these activities? Are the administrators, politicians, Parliament, and members of parliament who granted them these rights not the real causes of this ugliness? If these operations are truly intended to ensure safe families, generations, and streets, will these centers of evil be shut down permanently, never to reopen, or will the matter be brushed aside by making an example of just five or ten people? While society is still paying the price of the Istanbul Convention and the supplementary laws that, for years, tore families apart, what purpose will an operation reduced to individuals who are merely like flies serve? Although it has governed the country for 25 years and turns every issue into political gain and votes at the ballot box, why did the government permit in our country the existence of associations such as LGBTQ organizations, which it describes as immoral and as projects devised in European metropolises? Yes, these and undoubtedly many more questions can be asked. For every Muslim who thinks with sound judgment, the answers to many of them are clear. You must now stop trying to deceive society with palliative solutions.
If you are genuinely disturbed by this ugliness, the power in your hands is more than sufficient to solve it radically and very simply. The Prophetic standard expressed in the Messenger's (saw) words, «مَنْ رَأَى مُنْكَرًا فَلْيُغَيِّرْهُ بِيَدِهِ»“Whoever among you sees an evil, let him change it with his hand...” places on rulers not the comfort of office but the weight of responsibility. It must not be forgotten that delayed action is not enough to cover over the burden of wrongdoing that has been incurred. Unless the existence of the secular capitalist order is seen as the fundamental problem, every action lacking the will to drain this swamp will remain incomplete, delayed, and far from producing results. Society is not a laboratory on which governments can conduct experiments. See this destruction and show the will to bring about change through the life-giving Islamic Order of Allah (swt). Only then will the family, future generations, the youth, and the streets truly experience real safety and security.
