The Course Correction of India Is Through Dawah to Islam, Not Participation in the Taghut (طاغوت Transgressing Authority) of Its Democracy

On 1 October 2026, Al-Jazeera reported, “The minaret of India’s 600-year-old Ujjain mosque collapsed during demolition work for a road-widening project for a Hindu pilgrimage, triggering despair among Muslims onlookers.”

Comment:

Following three nights of a Muslim vigil against plans for a road-widening project linked to preparations for a major Hindu pilgrimage, authorities surrounded the masjid with bulldozers. Police used tear gas and batons against the resisting Muslims, and arrested many. Muslims were forced to begin dismantling parts of the masjid themselves, whilst the authorities caused the collapse of the minaret, but blamed faulty machinery.

Moreover, the partial demolition of the Shahi Masjid in Ujjain is part of a systematic campaign of Hinduization of India, with the demolition of their masajid, as well as other icons of the golden period of the history of India, Islamic rule.

O Muslims of India and their ‘ulema!

Participation in the taghut (طاغوت, transgressing authority) of democracy will never preserve our Deen and its icons. Democracy causes majoritarianism, which grants the false creed of the Hindu majority supremacy over all other ways of life. However, it was the Hindu creed that oppressed people for millennia, before they were rescued by the ruling governance of Islam. The people of India flourished under Islam for centuries, until the region became a global center of learning, research, agriculture, industry and trade. The Muslim rulers thereby earned the loyalty of the disbelievers under their guardianship, paving the way for their embracing of Islam in huge numbers.

Until the cunning British occupiers incited sectarian conflict between Muslims and Hindus as part of the colonialist divide-and-rule policy, the Hindus even supported the Muslims in efforts to restore Islamic rule. Today, the Modi regime is using Hindutva majoritarianism to conceal its glaring failures in guardianship, which has horrifically impoverished the people of India and placed it on a collision course with China to serve American interests.

O Muslims of India and their ‘ulema!

Allah (swt) said, [فَمَن يَكْفُرْ بِالطَّاغُوتِ وَيُؤْمِنْ بِاللَّهِ فَقَدِ اسْتَمْسَكَ بِالْعُرْوَةِ الْوُثْقَى لَا انْفِصَامَ لَهَا وَاللَّهُ سَمِيعٌ عَلِيمٌ] “So whoever renounces the Taghoot and believes in Allah has certainly grasped the firmest, unfailing hand-hold. And Allah is All-Hearing, All-Knowing” [TMQ Surah Al-Baqarah: 256].

Thus, Muslims must turn away from the sin of participation in the Taghut of democracy, and perform the Shariah obligation of carrying the Dawah to Islam to correct the course of India. They must culture themselves regarding the Deen of Islam, from its convincing creed to its Shariah rulings regarding ruling governance and the economy. They must engage in collective culturing of the people of India, extending even to the disbelievers where appropriate, thereby building a popular platform for the reopening of India for Islam by the Khilafah Rashidah (rightly-guided Caliphate), which is to arrive soon by the permission of Allah (swt).

So let the Muslims of India join hands with the shebaab (members) of Hizb ut Tahrir, the carriers of the Dawah to Islam and the rejectors of Taghut.
