Congratulations on the Blessed Month of Ramadan
Ramadan of Unity and Liberation... Glad Tidings for the People of Egypt and the Ummah of the Approaching Dawn of the Khilafah (Caliphate)
(Translated)

All praise is due to Allah, who has made us witness the month of fasting, and made Ramadan a season of obedience, a field for purifying the soul, and a school for renewing our covenant with Him (swt) in obedience and submission. Peace and blessings be upon the Messenger of Allah, who established the state through Islam and made Ramadan a month of conquest, glory, and victory.

Hizb ut Tahrir / Wilayah of Egypt extends its sincerest congratulations and blessings to our people in Egypt (Kinanah) and to the entire Muslim Ummah on the occasion of the arrival of the blessed month of Ramadan. We ask Allah (swt) to make it a month of goodness, blessings, and mercy, and to bring it back to the Muslims with their condition transformed from weakness to strength, from division to unity, and from subservience to sovereignty through Islam.

O people of Egypt, whose land has historically been a stronghold of Islam and a tributary of the Ummah's revival, Ramadan is not merely a month of individual worship. Rather, it is a month in which the meanings of comprehensive servitude to Allah are renewed, in governance as in fasting, in politics as in prayer, in implementing Allah's Shariah in daily life as in supplication. It was in Ramadan that the Battle of Badr took place, that Mecca was conquered, and in it the Muslim armies marched forth, carrying the message of Islam as light, guidance, and justice to the world.

Today, the Ummah welcomes Ramadan while suffering from political fragmentation, multiple entities, and the tyranny of regimes that rule by other than what Allah has revealed, at a time when major powers are conspiring against it, its sacred sites are being violated, and its wealth is being plundered. Among the most important things we should remember in this blessed month is that fasting nurtures piety (taqwa) within us, and piety (taqwa) requires that we make Islam the complete and perfect way of life, in governance as in conduct, in economics as in social affairs, in our internal affairs as in our external affairs.

O our people in Egypt: Allah (swt) did not ordain fasting merely to confine its effects to mosques, but rather to forge an Ummah that cherishes its Deen, strives to establish His rule, and rises to carry His message. The unity of the Ummah is not a dream, but a Shariah obligation and a vital necessity, which can only be achieved through the establishment of the Khilafah Rashidah (Rightly Guided Caliphate), on the method of Prophethood, uniting it under one banner and carrying Islam to the world.

We in Hizb ut Tahrir, as we congratulate you on the arrival of Ramadan, affirm that working to establish the Khilafah (Caliphate) is not a purely political matter, but an act of worship through which we draw closer to Allah. It is a resumption of the Islamic way of life and a fulfillment of Allah's promise of succession and empowerment for those who believe and do righteous deeds. Ramadan is a month in which good deeds are multiplied and supplications are answered. Let it be a month of renewing our covenant with Allah to support His Deen, work to establish His rule, and strive for the unity of the Ummah under the banner of "There is no god but Allah, Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah”

We ask Allah (swt) to make this month a turning point in the awareness of the Muslim Ummah, and to grant the people of Egypt and all Muslims insight and steadfastness. May He guide this Ummah to a path of righteousness in which the obedient are honoured, the disobedient are guided, good is enjoined and evil is forbidden, and the Khilafah Rashidah returns, uniting the Muslims, protecting the core of Islam, and governing the affairs of the people with justice and mercy.

May your Ramadan be blessed. May Allah accept your fasting and prayers, and make us and you among those who strive to exalt His word, until we meet Him while He is pleased with us.
