Response to the Slanders of Writer Ibrahim Hebbani on the Khilafah
(Translated)

We read an article by the writer Ibrahim Hebbani on the website of Al-Taghyeer Newspaper on Friday 16 Jumada al-Awwal 1447 AH corresponding to 7 November 2025 CE titled: “The Muslim Brotherhood: A Project to Destroy the World,” in which he said: “It is time for the world to see the truth as it is; the organizations of political Islam are not a reform project, but a project to dismantle states from within; they begin with the religious slogan and end with absolute power.” Then he continues: “The danger of political Islam is no longer a threat to a single state, but to all humanity; it does not only antagonize the Other, but antagonizes the very idea of the modern state itself,” until he states: “From Khartoum we send a message saying, save the peoples from the illusions of the Khilafah (Caliphate) that legitimize destruction in the name of Allah, and preserve deen from the traders of slogans who have made it a ladder to power.”

In response to the writer’s slanders against Islam and its system, the Khilafah (Caliphate), we say:

First: There are many mouthpieces that take the actions of some Islamic organizations as a veil to attack Islam and its political system, and it appears that Hebbani is one of those writers; otherwise, why did he bring the Khilafah into the matter?! And are those whom he spoke of the ones who established the Khilafah, or did they rule by the very modern-state systems whose opposition he brands as a slur? Even though he knows, and perhaps feigns ignorance, that this modern state is the creation of the colonial disbeliever (kuffar), and that it is a functional state whose mission is to implement the policies of its maker after he destroyed the Khilafah; the political entity that united all the Muslims.

Second: The one who makes wars in our countries and seeks to tear them apart is the same one who tore them apart in Sykes–Picot. Does the writer not know that Britain ignited the war in South Sudan to separate it from the North?! Then America took over this matter later until it actually separated it, with the acknowledgment and blessing of most political forces in Sudan. Now this accursed war raging in Sudan, one of its aims is to strip Darfur from Sudan under the name of alleged peace, and Jeddah and the Quartet and Switzerland and others are merely stations of conspiracy like Mishakos, Nairobi and Naivasha. Does Hebbani not know that the South was separated in the name of peace under the Naivasha Peace Agreement?!

Third: The Khilafah, O writer, is not an illusion, rather it is the system of the Lord of the worlds which He legislated for humanity because its rulings, constitution and laws are divine rulings (Ahkam Shariah) from the Creator of all humankind. The Khilafah, my brother, is that which unites the lands, not that which tears them apart, and it is what restores the lost honor and dignity of the Ummah today. You see the incapacity of the modern state — the product of the disbelieving West — its inability to stand up to America and its foster-child, the Jewish entity. If the Khilafah had existed, America, through its agents whoever they may be, would not have been able to separate South Sudan, nor would the Jewish entity have been able to kill tens of thousands of Muslims in Gaza, level Gaza to the ground, and subject its people to horrendous torment, while the rulers of the modern petty states do not move an inch and some even help it openly and secretly. If the Khilafah had existed, this current war in Sudan would not have occurred, and we would not have needed a Quartet or others.

In conclusion, we say to the writer: the Khilafah which you consider an illusion is being prepared against by the colonial kaffir West, which works to prevent its establishment; its strategic research centers prepare plans that prevent it, and even lay down policies for how to deal with it if it arises. The war on “terrorism” (Islam) is one of the means the West uses to prevent it. It also uses intellectual, political, and media agents, regrettably from among the sons of the Muslims, to strike at the idea of the Khilafah.

But to all of them we say: Hayhat! Hayhat! — the Khilafah is coming despite the noses of the disbelieving West and its agents. It is the promise of Allah the Exalted who said:

[وَعَدَ اللَّهُ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا مِنكُمْ وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ لَيَسْتَخْلِفَنَّهُم فِي الأَرْضِ كَمَا اسْتَخْلَفَ الَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِهِمْ]

“Allah has promised those among you who believe and do righteous deeds that He will surely grant them succession [to authority] upon the earth just as He granted it to those before them.” [Surat An-Nur: 55].

And it is the glad tidings of the Beloved Muhammad (saw), who indicated that the Khilafah (Caliphate) will return rightly guided upon the method of Prophethood after the despotic rule we live under today. The Prophet (saw) said, as narrated by Imam Aḥmad in his Musnad:

 «ثُمَّ تَكُونُ مُلْكاً جَبْرِيَّةً فَتَكُونُ مَا شَاءَ اللهُ أَنْ تَكُونَ، ثُمَّ يَرْفَعُهَا اللهُ إِذَا شَاءَ أَنْ يَرْفَعَهَا، ثُمَّ تَكُونُ خِلَافَةً عَلَى مِنْهَاجِ النُّبُوَّةِ»

“Then there will be a despotic rule, and it will be what Allah wills it to be; then Allah will lift it when He wills to lift it; then there will be a Khilafah upon the method of Prophethood.” (Musnad Aḥmad).

Hizb ut Tahrir, O writer, works for the establishment of the Khilafah and its Shabab exhaust day and night to achieve this glad tiding, and it will certainly occur soon by Allah’s permission.
