Security Apparatuses Arrest Shabab of Hizb ut Tahrir for Calling to Thwart America’s Plan to Separate Darfur
(Translated)

A force from the security apparatuses arrested five Shabab (members) of Hizb ut Tahrir in the city of Al-Shawak, namely: Othman Al-Amin Kanda, Hassan Al-Amin Kanda, Muhammad Thamin Adam, Ahmad Babikr, and Al-Amin Abdullah. This came following Hizb ut Tahrir / Wilayah Sudan holding a stand in front of the Ancient Mosque in Al-Shawak, during which Sheikh Othman Al-Amin Kanda, a member of Hizb ut Tahrir, addressed the distinguished attendance of some notables of the region and the general public. In his address, he explained the danger of the American plan seeking to tear Sudan apart by severing Darfur, holding those present responsible with the Shar‘i responsibility that makes the unity of the Ummah and the unity of the state a decisive issue. Some of the notables participated with speeches confirming their standing with the party to prevent the plan of separation.

The Hizb’s members raised, during their stand, banners on which was written:

• Thwart America’s plan to separate Darfur

• Thwart the plan of blood borders and prevent the severing of Darfur

• Establish the Khilafah to uproot the influence of the disbelieving West from your lands... and other phrases related to the topic.

This behavior of the security apparatuses confirms that the government is proceeding with the implementation of the American plan seeking to tear Sudan apart by severing Darfur, after it had separated its south by the same method now being applied. Otherwise, how can those who call for preserving the unity of the country and preventing the tearing apart of its unity be arrested?!

The origin is that people like these should be honored, not arrested, because they carried out the Shar‘i obligation which many of the people of the country—whether military or civilian—fell short of carrying out.

Indeed, we in Hizb ut Tahrir / Wilayah Sudan say to the authority and its security apparatuses: arrest and silencing mouths will not deter us from speaking the truth and acting upon it, even if the price is our lives and our blood. But we say to them: fear Allah regarding the Ummah, fear Allah regarding the dawah carriers, and know that you cannot frustrate Allah.

[وَسَيَعْلَمُ الَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا أَيَّ مُنْقَلَبٍ يَنْقَلِبُونَ]

“And those who have wronged are going to know to what [kind of] return they will be returned.” [Al-Shu‘ara:227]
