The Afghan President recently approved the retirement of the 164 Army Generals. Under the guise of reforms, this process is designed to remove two thousand Generals and senior officers from the Afghan security forces.
The Afghan Finance Minister announced that Afghanistan’s internal revenues have reached up to 170b Afs this year. This number is a new record for the country in the last 16 years and is higher than the goal set for the Afghan government by the international organizations. The Afghan finance ministry has called this “an achievement” for the Afghan government.
More than 30 civilians, including children, women and elders have been killed and injured in a USAF airstrike carried out on November 4, 2017, in Chardara district of the Kunduz province, Afghanistan. During the Fourth Water Conference in Kabulon 6 March 2017, the President of Afghanistan asked countries in the region to support construction of Water Dams and Supply Network in Afghanistan. He said, “Water is a key element of regional cooperation. By establishing legal frameworks and bilateral and multilateral agreements, we can create better grounds for the use of waters”.
