Dawah around the World: Act of Cowardice (Tunisia)

Welcome to today’s episode of Dawah Around the World- Act of Cowardice.

The work of Hizb ut Tahrir has always been to lead the Ummah in implementing the systems of Islam to fulfil the duty and responsibility of ensuring that Allah SWT’s Ahkaam are established and followed. It’s an unfortunate fact that the Hizb have achieved a lot of backlash and had to always work to overcome obstacles in this path.

Hizb ut Tahrir in Tunisia have been facing this challenge for decades. Be it conferences, rallies or protests, the activities have continuously been interrupted and it has always been made difficult to carry out the work for the establishment of the Khilafah by means of ongoing pressure on its members and a fierce propaganda campaign through the media and security apparatus.

The secular government is agitated by the rising call for Islam and Shariah in Tunisia. It is ruled by a class of secularists who take their orders from their masters in the West and who are as corrupt and deceitful as them. They are willing to go to any level for the sake of their colonial controllers, that they will make their very own people, those from their own land and Ummah, their most hated enemies!

Ustadh Imad ud-Din Haddouq, an attorney at the Court of Appeal and one of the well-known faces of Hizb ut Tahrir in Tunisia, had his office raided and broken into last month. It was a cowardly act done by the authorities to intimidate him. All contents and files of the office were vandalized and destroyed, resulting in a big loss.

Such despicable methods, unfortunately, are not shocking, due to the fact that the harsh treatment towards sincere callers of the Khilafah has become very common across the board..

- In Pakistan, Bangladesh and India - members have been abducted and jailed by the thugs of the regime - where they have been beaten, tortured, electrocuted and kept missing for months in some cases.

- Russia, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan - Numerous men and women in these countries are exposed daily to various tortures and humiliations just for the sake of one requirement – to abandon their views and the way they follow.

- Jordan, Libya and Syria – Countless members are blackmailed and threatened if they refuse to stop exposing the corruption of the rulers and raising their voices for an alternative system to replace the failed and doomed secular ideology.

Despite all this, Hizb ut Tahrir vows to Allah and the sincere people in the Ummah that these cheap practices will not intimidate and will not diminish their strength. The Hizb will remain at the forefront until it mops away the remaining regimes of treason and subordination and regains the Ummah’s usurped power, Bi’idnillahiTa’Aala.

These attempts to harm, silence and ultimately surrender only fuels the hearts with determination to change oppression and the oppressors. It further boosts the members to persevere, struggle and work even harder to challenge the injustice of the tyrants BECAUSE such is the certainty of Allah’s victory. For Allah SWT says –

Bismillah HirRahmanNirRaheem;  

فِىۡ بِضۡعِ سِنِيۡنَ ؕ لِلّٰهِ الۡاَمۡرُ مِنۡ قَبۡلُ وَمِنۡۢ بَعۡدُ ؕ وَيَوۡمَـئِذٍ يَّفۡرَحُ الۡمُؤۡمِنُوۡنَ بِنَصۡرِ اللّٰهِ​ؕ يَنۡصُرُ مَنۡ يَّشَآءُ ؕ وَهُوَ الۡعَزِيۡزُ الرَّحِيۡمُۙ‏

“That day the believers will rejoice, in the victory of Allah. He gives victory to whom He wills. He is the Mighty, the Merciful.” Surah Al-Rum verse 4 – 5

May Allah SWT make us all steadfast upon the haqq and grant us the tawfeeq in the honour of bringing back the Khilafah.
