Hizb ut Tahrir / Blessed Land - Palestine:

Women's Section Organizes Seminar about CEDAW

The Women's Section in Hizb ut Tahrir in the Blessed Land (Palestine) held on Wednesday, 23 Rabii' Awwal 1441 AH, a large seminar after Asr prayer in Al-Sha'rawi Mosque in Hebron (al-Khalil) as part of an awareness campaign against CEDAW.

Sister Umm Muath opened the seminar with prayers and peace be upon the Messenger of Allah welcoming the honorable sisters, referring to the danger coming from this agreement; where she talked about the concept of protection, honor and decency, and talked about the Jahilliyah period until Islam came. She also discussed the contents of CEDAW and its ratification by the Palestinian Authority. The speaker referred to some of its clauses that oppose Allah’s explicit provisions such as the age of marriage, the concept of guardianship (wali) they want to abolish, the concept of gender equality in everything including in inheritance, as well as the free mixing and the numerous feminist institutions deployed here and there, and women's rights, and several related topics.

This all happened after the loss of the Khilafah (Caliphate), where the Muslims became like orphans at the table of wolves, and the Muslims fell in the hands of the West. They want to take Muslim women out of the splendor of Islam, they work to corrupt them and corrupt the whole family, and they want to impose their agreements on them, although there is no agreement that gave women their rights and honor and preserve them as Islam did. Sr Um Muath stressed that there is no solution for us only to re-apply the Law of Allah (swt).

The audience interacted and expressed their admiration for what was put forward in this seminar. The number of attendees reached nearly 600 women. Alhamdulilah.
