On the 28th of Rajab 1430 Hizb ut-Tahrir Indonesia convened an unprecedented gathering of thousands of ulama, and ustadhs from all over the Muslim world, pledging their support for the re-establishment of the Islamic Khilafah "Caliphate" state. Ulama from Indonesia, Malaysia, Lebanon, Pakistan, India, Bangladesh, Turkey, Palestine and Algeria were amongst those who attended the gathering of over 10,000 Muslims in Jakarta, Indonesia.

On Friday 17th July 2009, corresponding to the 25th of Rajab 1430 Hijri, Hizb ut-Tahrir convened a large gathering following Friday prayers at Masjid Al-Aqsa. Tens of thousands of people attended and banners hung around the sacred precincts called for the return of the Khilafah "Caliphate" which would establish the Deen and unite the Muslims.
