January 19, 2024, Hizb ut Tahrir was banned in Britain by a political decision without the shadow of a legal process. The ban was introduced just four days after the British Home Secretary, James Cleverly, declared that he would add Hizb ut Tahrir to the British terror list. This, despite the fact that Hizb ut Tahrir works exclusively politically and intellectually, and has done so for more than 70 years.
