Canadian Prime Minister Justin Mr Trudeau said earlier in the week that there was credible evidence the Indian government had participated in the extrajudicial killing of a Canadian citizen on Canadian soil, a Sikh activist whom India has accused of terrorism.

For the past 77 years, especially on every August and January months, Indians have been actively expressing their patriotism. In the same context, Muslims are in a situation forced to prove their patriotism in order to ensure their existence in this country. As a response, some political and historical comments are being made to prove the contribution of Muslims toward freedom struggle by the current generation of Muslims.

 Reuters reported on 11 July, “India’s government on Tuesday (8 July) said it would impose a 28% tax on funds that online gaming companies collect from their customers, in a blow to the $1.5 billion industry that has surged in popularity and attracted foreign investment.”

In India, Muslim women are once again becoming the target of the political agenda of the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The proposal for a Uniform Civil Code (UCC) is nothing more than a renewed attempt to further control the lives of Muslim women and restrict their Islamic practices.
