“United States’ Desires for Urgent Reset between India and Bangladesh”
This Statement of the US Ambassador Is a Manifestation of the Conspiracy against the Aspirations of the People in the July Uprising

In an interview with the British news agency Reuters, US Ambassador Christensen stated that the Trump administration wants to see good relations between Bangladesh and India. Through this remark, he has made clear the US position against the aspirations of the people of this country. At a time when India is concerned about the political changes unfolding in Bangladesh, this ambassador has reassured our hostile neighbor, India, of continued American support and backing. Yet one of the core aspirations of the July Uprising was liberation from Indian dominance, and one of its key slogans was: “Delhi or Dhaka - Dhaka, Dhaka”.

Through this statement, the issue of the U.S.–India strategic partnership in this region- aimed at containing China and preventing the rise of the Khilafah (Caliphate)- has merely been restated. We, Hizb ut Tahrir, have consistently warned about this. They are desperate to use Bangladesh as fuel for this strategy. Undoubtedly, such remarks by the U.S. ambassador constitute interference in the country’s sovereignty. The interim government should strongly protest this comment. At the same time, all sincere political parties of the country must unite in taking a stand against these base interests of the United States and their regional watchdog- India, and clearly explain their position to the people. Otherwise, they will become disconnected from the masses. They should also refrain from following in the footsteps of the fallen Hasina.

O aware people, this is a warning for those who propose accepting the United States as an ally to counter Indian aggression. We, reiterate once again: the United States is strengthening its regional watchdog- India, and has included India in the Indo-Pacific military alliance (QUAD). Therefore, those who propose accepting the United States as an ally to counter Indian aggression are deceiving the people. In reality, U.S. loyal politicians and intellectuals are exploiting the people’s anti-India sentiment to justify the presence and geopolitical strategy of the colonial power- the United States, in this region.

Bangladesh is the world’s eighth-largest country by population, the majority of which is young. By utilizing the country’s manpower, strategic location, and natural resources, it is possible for us to become economically and militarily leading- what is required for this is the political ambition. To realize this ambition, the people of the country must unite under the leadership of Hizb ut Tahrir.

Allah (swt) says:

[يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا لاَ تَتَّخِذُوا الْكَافِرِينَ أَوْلِيَاءَ مِنْ دُونِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ أَتُرِيدُونَ أَنْ تَجْعَلُوا لِلَّهِ عَلَيْكُمْ سُلْطَانًا مُبِينًا]

“O you who believe! Do not take the disbelievers as allies instead of the believers. Do you wish to give Allah clear proof against yourselves?” [Surah An-Nisa: 144].
