Iran's Rulers' Refusal to Possess Nuclear Weapons is Treason to the Ummah and a Conspiracy with its Enemies
(Translated)

Iran, through its President, Masoud Pezeshkian, and its Foreign Minister, Abbas Araghchi, declared their rejection of possessing nuclear weapons. They reiterated these statements once again. This came at a time when Iran is conducting negotiations with the United States in an effort to reach an agreement on its nuclear program.

In light of these statements, we would like to emphasize the following points:

First: Iran is one of the largest Islamic countries. Its area exceeds 1.6 million square kilometers, and its population exceeds 80 million. It has the second-largest proven natural gas reserves in the world and the fourth-largest proven oil reserves. It also possesses vast quantities of various minerals necessary for industry. Its geopolitical location makes it a meeting point for three Asian regions: the West, the Central, and the South. Therefore, it is capable of becoming a major power, competing for the position of the leading power.

Second: Iran signed the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT) in 1968 and ratified it in 1970. It agreed that its nuclear program would be subject to the supervision of the International Atomic Energy Agency to ensure that it would not be diverted to military purposes. The NPT is an unjust treaty because it allows five countries to possess nuclear weapons: the United States, Russia, Britain, France, and China. Note that there are other countries that have not signed this treaty, including India, Pakistan, and the Jewish entity. North Korea withdrew from it in 2003. Muslims are forbidden from signing this treaty and abiding by its provisions because that contradicts Allah’s saying:

[وَأَعِدُّواْ لَهُم مَّا اسْتَطَعْتُم مِّن قُوَّةٍ وَمِن رِّبَاطِ الْخَيْلِ تُرْهِبُونَ بِهِ عَدْوَّ اللهِ وَعَدُوَّكُمْ]

“Prepare against them what you ˹believers˺ can of ˹military˺ power and cavalry to deter Allah’s enemies and your enemies” [Al-Anfal: 60]. Allah (swt) commanded the Muslims to prepare the maximum possible force to terrorize the enemy.

Third: Muslims are not permitted to allow the International Atomic Energy Agency to inspect military or other sites in their countries, because that would give the kuffar power over them, and Allah has forbidden that by saying:

[وَلَن يَجْعَلَ اللهُ لِلْكَافِرِينَ عَلَى الْمُؤْمِنِينَ سَبِيلاً]

“And Allah will never grant the disbelievers a way over the believers” [An-Nisa: 141].

Fourth: It should not be forgotten that the kaffir (disbelieving) colonialist states will not allow Muslims to possess a force that threatens them or the Jewish entity, and they will not hesitate to use any method to achieve their goal. America is exploiting the International Atomic Energy Agency to issue a report attributing nuclear activities to Iran to pressure it in the negotiations currently taking place between them. In addition, America has not ceased issuing threats to launch military strikes against Iran despite the rounds of negotiations between them, and the Jewish entity also continues to threaten that it will not allow Iran to possess a nuclear weapon. Yet we see the rulers of Iran failing to respond decisively to all of them. Rather, they continue to negotiate with America and declare their refusal to possess a nuclear weapon. By Allah, this is the peak of humiliation and failure.

Fifth: We affirm that Muslims will not be able to rise up unless they make up their minds, reject these Ruwaibidha (insignificant ignorant) rulers, and establish the rule of Allah (swt) on earth by establishing the Khilafah (Caliphate) on the method of the Prophethood, ruling them with the law of their Lord, unifying their lands and armies, eradicating the presence of the kaffir colonizers from their lands, and removing the Jewish entity from existence. The one capable of this and the owner of this project is the pioneer who does not lie to his people: Hizb ut Tahrir. So, rise, O Muslims, to support it. In that is your honour and dignity, and the pleasure of Allah is greater.
