To express its rejection to the French president's visit to Tunisia, Hizb ut Tahrir/ Wilayah of Tunisia organised on Thursday morning 01/02/2018 a picket in front of the Parliament of Bardo. After the Finance Act came into force, prices unprecedentedly increased in Tunisia, and some honest experts estimated that these increases could affect a fifth of people's income.

On Sunday morning, 17 December 2017, the government launched its security apparatus in Sidi Bouzid to storm Hizb ut Tahrir’s headquarters and then took all those who were in the office to the police station. They seized all the banners and posters that were at the headquarters.
