“Among the believers are men who have proven true to what they pledged to Allah. Some of them have fulfilled their pledge ˹with their lives˺, others are waiting ˹their turn˺. They have never changed ˹their commitment˺ in the least” [TMQ Al-Ahzab:23]
Today, Friday, August 26, 2022, Abdul-Manaf Rustamov, who used to live in the Khoja-Abad district of the Andijan state in Uzbekistan, died at the age of eighty.
Rustamov, may Allah have mercy on him, became acquainted with Hizb ut Tahrir and became familiar with its ideas when he was at the age of sixty. He was imprisoned by the Uzbek government in 1999 and spent 20 years in extremely difficult prisons. He was released in 2018. His two sons were also imprisoned for many years because of their activities in Hizb ut Tahrir. This month they threw his second son into prison again! And his loyal wife was wandering in prisons to visit her husband, two sons and son-in-law, and she died 4 years ago to meet on the Day of Resurrection.
After leaving prison, he died immediately while on his feet after undergoing difficult surgeries. He died when he was hit by a car while he was on his way to the mosque to perform the Fajr prayer. We ask Allah, Glory be to Him, to grant this brother of ours, who gave away this life and his life for the sake of Allah without the slightest hesitation, a good life in the Hereafter. We express our condolences to his dear family and friends who are still suffering.
Our brother, May Allah have mercy on him, left in his life a sufficient example for those who say: "Our Lord is Allah." This country has lost another brave man. Allah willing, we will meet you on the Day of Resurrection in the Gardens of Bliss. We ask our Lord, Glory be to Him, to have mercy on our dear brother and place him in the ranks of the group that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, preached to meet at the Kawthar Basin.
We are saddened by your separation, O our brother Abd al-Manaf, but we only say what leases our Lord, Glory be to Him: ﴿إِنَّا للهِ وَإِنَّا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعُونَ﴾“We belong to God and to Him we shall return.”
