 News Right Now: Unguarded Forts

Wednesday, November 6th, members and supporters of Hizb ut-Tahrir in Sudan conducted a peaceful demonstration protesting the Convention on the Elimination of all Forms of Discrimination Against Women (CEDAW) which promote secular humanist values, the equality of the genders, and other values that contradict Islam. Such conventions are typically used by the colonial nations to gain a sympathetic ear in the Muslim world, from which they launch other campaigns to control the politics and economy of the country.

This is why the demonstration campaign titled CEDAW as “The Crime of the Century Against Women” CEDAW supposedly seeks to annihilate all forms of discrimination against women, torture, and to liberate her from religious and customary restrictions to personal freedom’s regarding who they marry and divorce. This means that women and men are on equal footing in terms of who they marry, how they inherit, how they divorce, how they dress, even including the right to fornicate, commit adultery, and normalize homosexual relationships.

Any Muslim can see that the CEDAW which supposedly was proposed to resist violence against women, is little more than a ploy to strip the society of Islamic values and to enforce secular Western values by emphasizing personal freedom and freedom of choice. It dubiously links violence against women to Islamic values - making Islam and the Islamic way of life the target. Western agents eagerly lap this up and enforce rules and laws that contradict the law of Allah and please the colonial disbelievers.

The President of the Palestinian Authority, Mahmoud Abbas, issued a decree setting the minimum age of marriage to 18 for both sexes. These moves don’t protect women or prevent violence the way that they claim; they actually remove the protections and justice that Allah legislated for mankind in terms of marriage and inheritance rules - rules that raise the status of women, protect the family, and ensure the ties of kinship and lineage are honored.

The ironic truth is that the Western colonial nations themselves struggle with shocking levels of human trafficking, child pornography, rape, molestation, abuse, and harassment. If anything recent scandals that lead to the “MeToo” movement uncovered filthy, oppressive, degrading environment that Western freedoms have created.
For us as Muslims it’s clear that only Islam can elevate the status of women and protect them from the Western colonial attempts to leave them vulnerable.

Jazāk Allāhu Khayran for joining us!
