The Real Achievement Is to Bring Islam to Power, Not Merely the Arrival of Muslims to Power!
(Translated)

President Donald Trump received the elected Mayor of New York, Zohran Mamdani, at the White House on 21 November 2025. Trump described the meeting as very fruitful and constructive. For his part, Mamdani said that he appreciates the meeting with President Trump and looks forward to working together. He added that he discussed their shared goals with Trump. The two men’s first face-to-face meeting came after months of mutual verbal attacks and hostile rhetoric. In the Oval Office, Trump, 79 years old, told reporters regarding his beliefs about Mamdani, 34 years old, that he would be a “really good mayor.” He added that during the meeting he did not discuss whether Mamdani would issue an order to arrest the Jewish Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who is wanted by the International Criminal Court for committing war crimes in Gaza, if he visited New York. Trump praised Mamdani; after denying that he was “jihadist,” he stated “I met with a man who is a very rational person,” and that he “really wants to see New York be great again.” The U.S. President added that the meeting with Mamdani surprised him, noting that “we agree on a lot more than I would have thought.” Trump stressed that Mamdani has a chance to do something great in New York and needs federal government help, and that he will provide it to him, emphasizing, “I expect to be helping him, not hurting him.”

For his part, Mamdani said that he appreciates the meeting with President Trump and looks forward to working together, adding that he discussed with President Trump their shared goals. Mamdani informed President Trump of the concerns of many New York residents and their desire to direct taxpayer money toward their interests. He also spoke about “Israel” committing genocide with American funding. He revealed that he shares with the President the idea of ideas about funding citizens, “And what I’ve also said is more important than how we fund something is that we fund something... And if there are additional or alternate revenue streams to do so, I will accept them, and I will celebrate them because the most important thing is to actually deliver for the New Yorkers.” In his victory speech of 5 November 2025, Mamdani emphasized his political leanings in his statement to journalists, saying, “I am a democratic socialist…”

Observers were shocked by the warmth of the meeting between yesterday’s adversaries and were puzzled as to whether the verbal clashes and hostility that had appeared between Trump and Mamdani were genuine, or staged to achieve goals they both harbored. However, it is clear that the enmity was not real, based on the statements both made during their first meeting. It has become clear that the new Mayor of New York has come under the wing of the President whom he had called a fascist, and it was not befitting for him, as someone who claims to be socialist in thought, to meet a fascist if he truly meant and understood what he said and described. Nor should a head of state or “king” as Trump titles himself, meet with a city mayor in his kingdom who had belittled him and labeled him with fascist traits. However, this confirms that the verbal sparring between them was neither real nor rooted in any ideological or even visionary disagreement. Instead, it was deliberate in order to ensure Mamdani’s electoral success by mobilizing voters opposed to the greedy capitalist Trump among the minorities, including the Muslims in New York, who form the majority there, so as to achieve goals that require a person like Mamdani to be in the city that never sleeps, the city that holds the greatest weight of American “Israel” Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) and the Jews who support the Jewish state, serve as its safety valve, and control its policies, including reining in and muzzling its rebellious politicians if necessary.

Whenever a Muslim runs for a governmental, judicial, or parliamentary position in Western countries, whether in Britain, America, or elsewhere, many Muslims rejoice, led by many sheikhs and ulema, considering it a resounding victory for Islam and Muslims in those lands, regardless of these candidates’ platforms and whether they serve Islam and Muslims or not. They are satisfied with the bare minimum of these actions, which is getting Muslims into governmental or parliamentary positions, despite their full and explicit knowledge that these candidates do not adopt the Shariah obligation of Dawah to Islam or ruling by it in their projects, let alone making it a priority. The reason some sheikhs and community-center representatives pretend otherwise is their zealous pursuit of assimilating the Muslim community into Western societies, and erasing their Islamic identity, after they accepted this mission from the decision-makers in the West, out of fear and temptation.

Many ignore the reality of these candidates, including Mamdani: they overlook the reality of his claim to Islam to begin with, in light of him being Ismaili, his mother being Hindu, and his wife being an “artist” of unknown religion. Mamdani himself stresses that he is a democratic socialist and shows great eagerness to communicate with representatives of all religions among the city’s residents, including Jews, meeting the Jews wearing their kippah, and denying the accusations leveled against him of anti-Semitism. His meeting with Trump reveals the truth that he does not differ with the President in ideology. The apparent disagreement is merely a difference in policy within the art of the possible, which does not spoil the underlying amicability among Western politicians.

Thus, Zohran, London Mayor Sadiq Khan, and before them Congresswomen Rashida and Ilhan, Judge Nadia, Judge Nasrat, and others, none of them carried the Dawah to Islam, even outwardly for appearances sake, to the misguided people that Allah (swt)has obligated us all to deliver the great Islam to. Instead, it is well known to everyone that the deep state in America only allows into its club those whom they are certain will not deviate from the lines drawn for them, and whose absolute loyalty to it is guaranteed. So, Zohran has dual allegiance, to the polytheistic democracy and atheistic socialism, and of course, whoever’s loyalty is to the two horns of Shatan cannot possibly combine them with the Deen of Justice and Tawheed. This is a democratic official who swore a solemn oath of allegiance to the constitution and laws that wage war against Allah (swt)and His Messenger (saw), in addition to declared support for homosexuals and every vice practiced by the people who rejected Lut (as) and others. Then there is a dark-skinned Muslim woman, from the lineage of our master Bilal al-Habashi (ra), yet she did not take him as a role model in her programs or goals, even outwardly for appearances sake; for the true crown of the Muslim woman is her Shariah hijab. As for the hijab-wearing judge Nadia, her calamity is greater and worse than her predecessors, for she swore on the Noble Quran to rule by the man-made, capitalist, disbelieving American law! After all this, is it reasonable that Muslims in America rejoice over these “achievements” that will place their perpetrators in the position of severe reckoning on the Day of Resurrection?! Both they and those who approved their un-Islamic actions, and those who fell short in forbidding this evil, foremost among them the sheikhs and ulema! Then, is it reasonable for any sensible Muslim to think that a Muslim reaching positions of power is an achievement and a great conquest?! How, then, did our Messenger (saw)refuse to join Dar an-Nadwa, even though the Quraysh offered him a high position, not a lowly one, but subordinate to the disbelieving political environment in which he (saw)lived?!

The decision-makers in the West and those called the deep state fully realize the extent of their civilization’s collapse and its exposure to their peoples. and they know perfectly well that Islam is the great civilizational alternative that humanity and reason accept, and that all humanity, including their own wronged peoples, is searching for. Therefore, it became obligatory for them to work on patching their crumbling civilization by shuffling the cards, co-opting the carriers of Islamic civilization, and melting its communities into Western countries. This is what former U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice expressed when she described the Muslim community in America as a ticking time bomb, and the situation of Muslim communities in the rest of the Western countries is similar. Allowing these politicians to reach positions of power, or even less, is in order to serve the interests of Western capitalists, postpone the explosion of the time bomb, and extend the life of their outdated civilization and patch it up. Therefore, one must never think that their reaching these positions is a victory for Islam and Muslims, or that it was a concession forced upon the deep state and the capitalists in the West.

The arrival of Muslims at positions of power does not mean the arrival of Islam to those positions. Instead, a Muslim’s arrival there grants legitimacy to those positions and the laws applied in those institutions. It misleads both Muslims and non-Muslims, in addition to ruling and judging by other than what Allah (swt)has revealed is a grave sin for which Allah (swt) has described its perpetrator as disbeliever, wrongdoer, or rebellious, as in His (swt)saying,

And whoever does not judge by what Allah (swt)has revealed, then it is those who are the disbelievers” [TMQ Surah Al-Maidah: 44], and His (swt)saying,

“And whoever does not judge by what Allah (swt)has revealed, then it is those who are the wrongdoers” [TMQ Surah Al-Maidah: 45], and His (swt)saying,

“And whoever does not judge by what Allah (swt)has revealed—then it is those who are the defiantly disobedient” [TMQ Surah Al-Maidah: 47].

And from Buraydah (ra) he said, The Messenger of Allah (saw)said,

“The judges are three: one in Paradise and two in the Fire. As for the one in Paradise, he is a man who recognized the truth and judged by it. A man who recognized the truth but was unjust in his judgment, he is in the Fire. And a man who judged for the people out of ignorance, he is in the Fire” (Reported by Abū Dāwūd, at-Tirmidhī, and Ibn Mājah).

Seizing Muslims’ rights in these lands is not achieved by integrating, and running for positions of governance and judiciary, under a system that does not rule by all that Allah (swt)has revealed. The politicians and judges in this country are merely employees who execute the law and are bound by the man-made constitution. They have no power to change the law or act outside it. Therefore, no matter what the politician’s identity or religion is, he has no right, and cannot, even if he wanted to, deviate from the law or show bias toward the rulings of his religion or race. Politicians, judges, and influencers are the most closely watched by their political opponents and hostile lobbies. Therefore, you find these candidates, whether Muslim or otherwise, among the most meticulous in total adherence to the law out of fear of accountability. Indeed, they offer doctrinal and legal compromises just to satisfy their opponents and prove to them that they are more loyal to the unjust system than others.

Obtaining legal rights for people in America is not linked to religion, race, or political allegiance, and no one can deprive them of those rights except through tyranny. Therefore, whoever thinks that securing Muslims’ rights can only be achieved by joining political or judicial positions is deluded. Hence, what is achieved by reaching positions of rulings and judiciary is nothing but these candidates losing their Deen and falling short in carrying the Dawah to Islam as a civilizational alternative for the people of these lands, a Shariah obligation that Allah (swt)has imposed on every Muslim, especially the influential among them, the Islamic centers, the ulema and the sheikhs.

The Muslim diaspora in America and the rest of the communities in the West must unite their efforts and form a strong civilizational force that carries Islam as both Deen and state, calling the people of these lands, politicians, thinkers, and common folk, to the Deen of mercy that will bring them out of the darkness and oppression of capitalism into the light and justice of Islam and their salvation from the reckoning on the Day of Resurrection. By this they will have fulfilled what Allah (swt)has obligated upon them and will be among the best of people who show excellence to those among whom they live. This is the policy that the influential and ordinary Muslims in the Muslim diaspora must adopt, in accordance with His (swt)saying,

“Invite to the way of your Lord with wisdom and good instruction, and argue with them in a way that is best. Indeed, your Lord is most knowing of who has strayed from His way, and He is most knowing of who is rightly guided” [TMQ Surah An-Nahl: 125].
