An Opportunity for the Armies of the Muslims to Beat the Isolated United States into Retreat
Amidst intense domestic and international opposition to Trump’s miscalculated war on Iran, the US Secretary of War, Pete Hegseth, addressed a press conference on 2 March 2026. His speech exposed the deep crisis that Trump is facing, within a mere 48 hours of a wide-spectrum, resolute response from the army of Iran. Moreover, the army of Iran is only one of the strong armies of the Muslim World, whilst it is weakened by the intensely nationalist and sectarian nature of its leadership, which limits its popular support base, both within Iran and outside of Iran. So, how would the situation of Trump be, were all the soldiers of Muslims mobilized under a righteous Imam, unifying all Muslims, regardless of their race and school of thought, as they were in the time of the Khilafah (Caliphate), which was destroyed on 3 March 1924, 28 Rajab 1342 AH?
And so, in response to the intensifying political storm, at the very beginning of his address, Hegseth, appealed to the Christian evangelist and white supremacist support base of Trump. He incited the hundreds of years of crusader animosity against Islam, by insulting the glad tidings of the Prophet (saw) of victory over the enemies. Hegseth said, “Crazy regimes like Iran hell-bent on prophetic Islamist delusions cannot have nuclear weapons.”
May Allah (swt) curse his filthy tongue! The glad tidings of the Prophet (saw) are not delusions. For centuries, the glad tidings of the Prophet (saw) inspired the armies of the Muslims to defeat the enemies of Muslims, whether it was the conquest of Persia or the conquest of Constantinople, the city of the forefather of Hegseth, Heraclius. And let the people of power in the other strong armies of the Muslims, whether in Pakistan, Turkey, Egypt, Bangladesh or Indonesia, take careful note of this wicked statement of the US Secretary of War. The crusader America does not accept that true lovers of the Prophet (saw) possess strong military capabilities, whether nuclear or conventional. So, O officers of the armies of Muslims, do you not see how Trump’s vision for the Muslim World is that of strong armies for the crusaders, the Jews and the Hindus, and weak armies for the Muslims? Are you not lovers of the Prophet (saw), that you would not take note of this insolence and break the jaws of the disbelievers?
After his spirited appeal to what remains of support for Trump, Hegseth then attempted to reassure the American public, which is exhausted morally, military and economically, by the miscalculations of its greedy ruling faction in its wars against Afghanistan and Iraq. He said, “To the media outlets and political left screaming “endless wars,” stop. This is not Iraq. This is not endless. I was there for both. Our generation knows better and so does this President. He called the last 20 years of nation building wars dumb, and he’s right. This is the opposite.”
However, Hegseth forgets, or made himself forget, that the causes of the failure of the American military previously, are still present today. Although the American armed forces have sophisticated weaponry, this material strength is wasted by the cowardice of its troops. The soldiers of America suffer from mental illness, and often prefer suicide, when facing small numbers of Muslims with modest weapons, but a burning desire to be a victors or martyrs. In fact, in the last 20 years, the US army has yet to achieve any significant victory over Muslims, and must rely instead on achieving political objectives due to the treacheries of the rulers of Muslims.
And then, Hegseth made the political error of not hiding his frustration at the lack of support from the major powers of Europe, as well as its regional powers. Hegseth said, “Israel has clear missions as well for which we are grateful, capable partners, as we’ve said since the beginning, capable partners are good partners, unlike so many of our traditional allies who wring their hands and clutch their pearls, hemming and hawing about the use of force.” In fact, the US remains dangerously isolated in its efforts, despite the desperate appeal of the US Secretary of State, on 14 February 2026, during the Munich Security Conference, attended by all the traditional allies of America, when he said, “For the United States and Europe, we belong together.”
Thus, America is not the America of Bush Senior, who was able to rally a coalition of Western states in his war on Iraq. It is not even the America of Bush Junior, who patched-up coalitions, which then collapsed and abandoned America, both in Iraq and Afghanistan. No, it is the America of Trump, declining, ailing, and besieged from both inside and outside, whilst arrogantly withdrawing from the institutions of the other major powers! So, how can any Muslim officer still say that ‘If we are not allies of America we are at a loss and alone in the world’? How can we narrow the world, when Allah (swt) has widened it for us? How, O servant of Allah (swt), how?!
O Ummah of Islam and Its Armies!
We do not use the rulers of Iran as an excuse to restrain our armies from what must be done. The rulers of Iran are as all the rulers of the Muslims, followers and agents of America, until they are spent. This is how it has been since the destruction of the Khilafah (Caliphate) on 3 March 1924, corresponding to 28 Rajab 1342 AH. As for now, it is time for the tamkeen (empowerment) of the Deen, and istikhlaaf (succession in authority) of the Ummah, and the restoration of the junnah (shield) of the Ummah. It is time for a Rightly-Guided Imam to mobilize all the armies of Muslims against the disruptive American military bases in the Muslim World, including its largest base in the region, the Jewish entity. It is time for the armies to return to their true military doctrine, the doctrine of Iman, Tawwakul, and Jihad in the Path of Allah (swt).
O Officers of the Armies of Muslims!
It is time for a new generation of military commanders to strive to fulfill the glad tidings of the Prophet (saw), even though the American crusaders hate that. The Prophet (saw) said,
«ثُمَّ تَكُونُ مُلْكًا جَبْرِيَّةً فَتَكُونُ مَا شَاءَ اللَّهُ أَنْ تَكُونَ، ثُمَّ يَرْفَعُهَا إِذَا شَاءَ أَنْ يَرْفَعَهَا، ثُمَّ تَكُونُ خِلَافَةً عَلَى مِنْهَاجِ النُّبُوَّةِ. ثُمَّ سَكَتَ»
“Then it will be a tyrannical rule, and it will last as long as Allah (swt) wills it to last. Then He (swt) will remove it when He wills to remove it. Then there will be a Khilafah (Caliphate) on the Method of Prophethood. Then he fell silent” [Ahmed]. So, who amongst you will grant nussrah (military support) for the re-establishment of the Khilafah? The Prophet (saw) said,
«لَتُقَاتِلُنَّ الْيَهُودَ فَلَتَقْتُلُنَّهُمْ»
“You must certainly fight the Jews” [Muslim]. So, who amongst you will lead the armies of the Ummah in the liberation of Al-Masjid Al-Aqsa? And it was narrated
«بينما نَحنُ حولَ رسولِ اللَّهِ صلَّى اللَّهُ عليهِ وسلَّمَ نَكْتبُ إذ سُئِلَ رسولُ اللَّهِ صلَّى اللَّهُ عليهِ وسلَّمَ/ أيُّ المدينَتينِ تُفتَحُ أوَّلًا، قُسطنطينيَّةُ أو روميَّةُ ؟ فقالَ رسولُ اللَّهِ صلَّى اللَّهُ عليهِ وسلَّمَ : مَدينةُ هرقلَ تُفتَحُ أوَّلًا يَعني قُسطَنطينيَّةَ»
“While we were around the Messenger of Allah (saw) writing, the Messenger of Allah (saw) was asked, ‘Which of the two cities will be conquered first, Constantinople or Rome?’ The Messenger of Allah (saw) said, “The city of Heraclius will be conquered first,” meaning Constantinople” [Ahmed, Ad-Darami]. So, who amongst you will lead the conquests in Europe, until Rome is under Islam? And the Prophet (saw) said,
«إِنَّ اللَّهَ زَوَى لِيَ الْأَرْضَ فَرَأَيْتُ مَشَارِقَهَا وَمَغَارِبَهَا وَإِنَّ أُمَّتِي سَيَبْلُغُ مُلْكُهَا مَا زُوِيَ لِي مِنْهَا»
“Allah drew the ends of the world near one another for my sake. And I have seen its eastern and western ends. And the dominion of my Ummah would reach those ends which have been drawn near me” [Muslim]. So, who amongst you will build an army that will extend the dominion of the Ummah over the entire world?
