In Obedience to Trump, the Ruler of Pakistan Deprives the Muslims of Valuable Minerals

On 18 November 2025, Associated Press of Pakistan reported, “A major breakthrough in Pakistan’s mineral sector has been achieved as a strategic partnership has been finalized between Pakistan’s private company Himalayan Earth Exploration (HEE) and the American company Nova Minerals Limited for the exploration and development of valuable minerals across the country.” (1)

Comment:

The partnership with Nova Minerals, listed on the US Stock Exchange, is another significant step in Trump’s plan to increase control of the rare earth elements of Pakistan. Rare earth elements (REEs) are needed to power everything from smart phones to medical equipment, and on to the most advanced fighter jets and military weaponry. The Trump plan is now under full implementation by the ruler of Pakistan, Asim Munir.

The ruler of Pakistan personally supervised a significant deal with American companies in September. On 8 September 2025, the Office of the Prime Minister announced, “A high-level US delegation including USSM (United States Strategic Metals) and Mota-Engil, renowned global companies in the mining and infrastructure sector met with Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif... Chief of the Army Staff Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir and Federal Ministers were also present in the meeting.” The press release added, “The first phase of this deal is envisaged at approximately $500 million of investments into Pakistan’s critical minerals sector.” (2)

Then, on 25 September 2025, in a meeting at the White House, the ruler of Pakistan proudly presented President Trump with a wooden box, glittering with examples of minerals from Pakistan. (3)

Then, on 2 October 2025, PR Newswire announced, “In a historic milestone for bilateral cooperation, Pakistan has successfully delivered its first batch of enriched rare earth elements and critical minerals to US Strategic Metals (USSM) in the United States.... Mr. Stacy W. Hastie, CEO of USSM, stated, ‘We see this as the first step in our exciting journey together with the Frontier Works Organisation of Pakistan, to provide critical minerals to the United States.’” (4)

Indeed, Trump is fully focused on Pakistan as it has access to rare earths not controlled by China, at a time when he is engaged in a fierce economic competition with China, whilst the American economy is in crisis. On 8 September 2025, the US Embassy in Pakistan announced that the Chargé d’Affaires (CDA) of the US Embassy, Natalie Baker, stated, “The Trump administration has made the forging of such deals a key priority given the importance of critical mineral resources to American security and prosperity. We look forward to seeing future agreements between U.S. companies and their counterparts in the critical minerals and mining sector in Pakistan.” (5)

It is therefore not surprising that after the ruler of Pakistan strove to assist Trump’s plans for rare earth elements and Gaza, Trump enthusiastically praised him, on 13 October 2025, calling him “my favorite field marshal.” (6)

O Muslims of Pakistan in General, and their Ulema and the Carriers of the Dawah to Islam in Particular!

The ruler of Pakistan has the mentality and disposition of the ancient rulers of the Indian Subcontinent, before the mercy of Islam. He considers the land of Pakistan, and all that is above and below it, as his right. If he is not challenged and stopped, he will empty the land of its riches to consolidate foreign support for his crooked throne, and a personal fortune, like the previous rulers of Pakistan.

Our great Deen does not allow us to remain silent over the surrender of the wealth that Allah (swt) has granted us. In Islam minerals are considered public property, whose benefit is for securing the needs of the entire community (jama’ah) of Muslims. It is not allowed to grant the mines of minerals to any individual or company of individuals.

Tirmidhi reported that

«عَنْ شُمَيْرٍ، عَنْ أَبْيَضَ بْنِ حَمَّالٍ، أَنَّهُ وَفَدَ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَاسْتَقْطَعَهُ الْمِلْحَ فَقَطَعَ لَهُ فَلَمَّا أَنْ وَلَّى قَالَ رَجُلٌ مِنَ الْمَجْلِسِ أَتَدْرِي مَا قَطَعْتَ لَهُ إِنَّمَا قَطَعْتَ لَهُ الْمَاءَ الْعِدَّ‏.‏ قَالَ فَانْتَزَعَهُ مِنْهُ»

“Narrated Shumair, that Abyad bin Hammal visited the Messenger of Allah (saw) who asked him to grant a reserve of salt. So he reserved it for him. As he (saw) was turning away, a man in the gathering said, ‘Do you know what you reserved for him. It is in abundance like water.’ He (Shumair) said, ‘So he (saw) took it back from him.’”

Commenting on the hadith, the Hanifi alim, Burhan al-Din al-Marghinani (برهان الدينالمرغيناني) who died in 593 AH, wrote in al-Hidaya Sharh Biyadat al-Mubtadi (الهداية شرح بداية المبتدي), that لا يجوز للإمام أن يقطع ما لا غنى بالمسلمين عنه كالملح والآبار التي يستقي الناس منها “It is not allowed for the ruler to grant to individuals, that which the Muslims collectively are in need of, such as salt mines and large wells from which the people irrigate their lands.”

The Hanifi mufti in Damascus, Ala’-Din al-Hasakfi (علاء الدين الحصكفي), who died 1088 Hijri, says in al-Durr al-Mukhtar (الدر المختار), that و اعلم أنه ليس للامام أن يقطع ما لا غنى للمسلمين عنه من المعادن الظاهرة وهي ما كان جوهرها الذي أودعه الله في جواهر الارض بارزا معادن الملح والكحل والقار والنفط “Know that the ruler is not allowed to allocate to individuals that which the Muslims collectively are in need of, such as things like surface mines and mineral deposits that whose content which Allah has placed inside the Earth is apparent such as mines of salt, antimony, bitumen and oil.”

So let us raise our voices against this munkar (evil) of the ruler of Pakistan. And let us work for the establishment of the Khilafah Rashidah (Rightly Guided Caliphate) on the Method of Prophethood, which will ensure that the rare earth elements will be used to bring an industrial revolution in Pakistan.
