To Say that the Ceasefire in Gaza Is Holding Is to Encourage the Violations of the Jewish Entity

News:

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, in his video message released on the occasion of the New Year, also touched on the issue of Gaza, saying: “The ceasefire in Gaza, achieved with our contribution, is still holding thanks to the common sense of our Gazan brothers and sisters, despite all of Israel’s violations.” (Agencies, Dec 31, 2025 –)

Comment:

Turkey’s Palestine policy continues to oscillate between weakness, humiliation, and hypocrisy. On the one hand, there are declarations on every platform about standing with the people of Gaza; on the other hand, there are concrete actions that fully align with the United States, absolve the Jewish entity of its crimes, and pave the way for normalization with it.

Two years ago, when the genocide in Gaza began, Erdoğan compared Hamas to the Kuva-yi Milliye, saying they were a group of mujahideen defending their land. Today, that same Erdoğan’s Turkey first signed the New York Declaration in July last year together with Arab League countries, labeling the Al-Aqsa Flood Operation as a terrorist act and demanding that Hamas lay down its arms and surrender. Then, on October 13, 2025, in Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt, it became a guarantor of Trump’s wicked plan to turn Gaza into a tourism center and to completely liquidate the cause of Palestine.

From October 7 until today, not even the smallest amount of aid has been delivered from Turkey to Gaza, while trade with the Jewish entity continued openly for seven months and then covertly afterward. At present, the fuel needs of the occupying genocidal gang are being supplied by Azerbaijani oil sent through Turkey via the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline.

President Erdoğan’s latest statement in his New Year message, claiming that the ceasefire in Gaza is holding, is yet another example of political principle-lessness, of lacking a firm stance, and of full submission to Trump’s plans. This soullessness has become so normalized that no one considers what the words mean or the religious and political responsibility of the steps being taken. It is now clear that, for the conservative-democratic mindset, politics means absolutizing material power, accepting the manipulations of the unbelievers as reality, and trying to stay in power at all costs by maintaining good relations with the United States.

Looking at the actual state of the so-called ceasefire in Gaza, since the ceasefire agreement announced on October 10, 2025, although the intensity of attacks by the occupying Jewish entity has decreased, it has violated the agreement at least 969 times through almost daily attacks. In air, artillery, and direct-fire attacks, 405 Palestinians have been killed and 1,114 injured. In addition, the Jewish entity continues to block aid from entering Gaza to a large extent and to use hunger and lack of medicine as weapons. It is also preparing to make its occupation permanent by building new bases in the buffer zone that was supposed to be demilitarized under the ceasefire. Add to this the settler terror in the West Bank, inhumane torture in prisons, and humiliating threats toward the entire region.

So how can it be said that the ceasefire is holding when the Jewish entity so openly and brazenly violates the agreement? Isn’t a ceasefire a two-sided arrangement? Did Turkey not pressure the mujahideen into this ceasefire on the grounds that the Jewish entity would stop its attacks? Did Erdoğan and government officials not proudly share photos from Trump’s table in Egypt with the signed agreement, presenting it as a victory achieved under Turkey’s guarantor ship?

In reality, everything is very clear, but it appears that Erdoğan is saying that the ceasefire continues in order to avoid taking responsibility for Turkey’s role in the agreement and to avoid confronting the Crusader-Jewish alliance. In other words, he is implicitly approving the killing of the people of Gaza under the shadow of the ceasefire and encouraging the Jewish entity to carry out further violations and massacres. Another reason behind Turkey’s stance is its desire to take part in the international stabilization force in Gaza in order to confiscate the weapons of the mujahideen. Erdoğan can thus present Trump with a new success story and gain new praise and legitimacy.

However, Allah’s plan is above all. With His help, when the Al-Aqsa Flood turns into an Ummah flood in the near future, Trump’s wicked plan will collapse, history will be rewritten, the Rashidun Caliphate will be established, its glorious armies will eliminate the Jewish entity, return the blessed land of Al-Aqsa to their rightful owners, and the age of Islam will begin. Even if those blinded by arrogance cannot see it, Allah’s promise will surely come to pass.
