Gaza Won... Whilst the Regimes Betrayed

Praise be to Allah, who has granted us victory: the victory of the Al-Aqsa Flood and another victory with the fall of the tyrant of ash-Sham, which changed the perceptions of many people, Muslims and non-Muslims alike. The entire world witnessed how a group of Muslims, besieged in a small area, surrounded by the Jewish entity on one side, and by nearby Arab and non-Arab entities on the other, planned a battle that exposed to the entire world the falsehood of the claim of an invincible Jewish army. This battle restored Muslims’ confidence in themselves, and the revolution of ash-Sham followed, toppling the criminal regime in a way no one had expected.

These victories are a message to us to roll up our sleeves, and mobilize our resolve to complete the victories achieved by restoring the rule of the Shariah Law of Allah (swt) and liberating the country from colonialism.

For Allah, for history, and for memory, we must acknowledge a truth whose brilliance no arrogant or malicious person can obscure. What was achieved in Gaza was, first and foremost, thanks to Allah (swt), and then thanks to the will of the Blessed Land and its steadfast people. It was not thanks to any of the rulers or regimes that today stand silent or complicit with the occupation.

Gaza: The Pearl of Palestine and the Symbol of Victory

Gaza, this land drenched in the blood of its martyrs, this land from which echoes of heroism emanated, has always rejected, and continues to reject, injustice and betrayal. Today, it demonstrates how a people besieged on all sides, armed only with light weapons and their willpower, can withstand the infernal Jewish-American war machine. Gaza has triumphed despite everything: despite the siege, despite Arab and Muslim inaction, and despite the political betrayal that has inflicted wounds at their deepest point upon the Ummah.

The occupation, which has always claimed military superiority, is now in an unenviable position. All those years of occupation and oppression have collapsed before the will of resistance of a people built on great patience and a determination that knows no defeat. Gaza has won, the Jewish entity has been defeated, and the false notion of an invincible army has fallen.

Gaza’s Victory: A Message to the Ummah

Gaza today is a symbol of steadfastness, victory, and dignity. It demonstrates that willpower and courage recognize no borders, and that no matter how long the occupation lasts, it will not remain in the Blessed Land. Future generations will know that this land was and will remain a source of hope, and that its victory is inevitable.

What Gaza achieved in its recent battle can only be interpreted as a message to the entire Ummah. It is a message of defiance and will, a message to Muslims everywhere to know that victory is not just slogans or empty promises. Instead, victory is the fruit of patience and sacrifice. It is also a message that affirms that the work for change must continue, and that the occupation, no matter how long it persists in Palestine, will remain doomed to end.

The role Gaza played in challenging the occupation was contributed to by every drop of blood shed, every soul sacrificed for the sake of Allah (swt), and every determination that persisted despite all difficulties.  Gaza, once under siege and with its people being killed, today stands as a symbol of victory, restoring to the Islamic Ummah some of the hope lost under regimes that for decades marginalized the Ummah’s issues.

Between Gaza and the Corrupt Regimes

However, despite all this victory, we cannot overlook the role of the ruling regimes that prevented their people from supporting and aiding their brothers in Gaza, in response to the Speech of Allah (swt),

[وَإِنِ اسْتَنصَرُوكُمْ فِي الدِّينِ فَعَلَيْكُمُ النَّصْرُ]

“And if they seek your help in Deen, then it is your obligation to help them.” [TMQ Surah Al-Anfal: 72].

These regimes erected a barrier to the Ummah's engagement with its major issues. They shackled the people to secular regimes and distanced them from their origin, which is Islam. These rulers plundered the Ummah’s wealth and distanced their people from Jihad in the Path of Allah (swt) and from the purpose for which they were created, humiliated the Ummah and forced it to beg for its daily sustenance from abroad, while its wealth was plundered by its enemies. It is these rulers that are today the ones standing in the way of supporting Gaza and preventing a serious effort for the establishment of the Islamic state.

From these rulers came the confusion surrounding the Ummah's thinking, from them came the pursuit of subservience to the West, and from them came the abandonment of Palestine, and its subsequent covert surrender to the Jewish occupation. These rulers are the ones who stand in the way of the Ummah’s aspirations and prevent it from returning to the right path and from the relentless pursuit of establishing the Khilafah (Caliphate), which the Messenger of Allah (saw) promised us.

Islam is the Savior

Secular regimes have always ruled our countries, imposing laws that are incompatible with Islamic Aqeedah (doctrine). The constitution by which they govern us is not Islamic. Instead, it is borrowed from secular systems that have never aimed to promote Islamic values. To those who promote the notion that Islam has failed in managing the affairs of state, whether they are secularists or not, we say, ‘No, it is not Islam that has failed, it is secularism that has failed.’ Secularism is what has left the Ummah floundering in its economic, political, and social problems, and it has pushed us into perpetual poverty and ongoing injustice. Even one of these secular rulers recently declared that they are merely monitoring the situation in Gaza!

Where were these rulers when Palestine was being slaughtered? Where were they when Gaza was being subjected to genocide? Where were they while they maintained secret and overt relations with the Jewish entity, while claiming to be fighting the occupation? They were partners in the killing of peoples, and they were, and continue to be, an obstacle to the return of Islam.

Let everyone know that the return of Islam is coming, by the Permission of Allah (swt), despite everything and despite all these circumstances. Victory is near, by the Permission of Allah (swt). As the Messenger of Allah (saw) said,

«عقرُ دار المؤمنين الشام»

“The heart of the Abode of the Believers is Ash-Sham.” The Islamic state is coming, and the Khilafah, foretold by the Messenger of Allah (saw) will return. This state, which will implement Islamic law according to the Method of Prophethood, is the one that will liberate Palestine, and al-Quds will be the capital of the coming Islamic state, by the Permission of Allah. Indeed, the days are full of surprises. Before a child is born, there are labour pains. Allah (swt) says in the Quran,

[إِنَّ مَعَ الْعُسْرِ ييُسْرًا]

“Indeed, with hardship comes ease.” [TMQ Surah Ash-Sharh: 5].

The child is coming by the Permission of Allah, and the return of the Khilafah is near.  This Ummah was not created to remain in the humiliation of unjust regimes. Instead, it is a ummah of truth and justice, and it is a ummah charged with ruling by the Book of Allah (swt) and the Sunnah of His Prophet (saw).

Let’s prepare for the day of victory.

We must roll up our sleeves, regain our dignity, and return to implementing the Shariah Law of Allah (swt) in our political, economic, cultural, and social lives. We must all work together to liberate our country from the clutches of colonialism and treason. We must establish our state so that we can implement Islam domestically, and spread it abroad through Dawah and jihad, as our Master Muhammad (saw) foretold,

«ثُمَّ تَكُونُ خِلَافَةً عَلَى مِنْهَاجِ النُّبُوَّةِ»

“...then there will be a Khilafah (Caliphate) on the Method of Prophethood...” And Allah promised us this in His Perfect Book,

[وَعَدَ اللَّهُ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا مِنكُمْ وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ لَيَسْتَخْلِفَنَّهُم فِي الْأَرْضِ كَمَا اسْتَخْلَفَ الَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِهِمْ وَلَيُمَكِّنَنَّ لَهُمْ دِينَهُمُ الَّذِي ارْتَضَى لَهُمْ وَلَيُبَدِّلَنَّهُم مِّن بَعْدِ خَوْفِهِمْ أَمْناً يَعْبُدُونَنِي لَا يُشْرِكُونَ بِي شَيْئاً وَمَن كَفَرَ بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ فَأُوْلَئِكَ هُمُ الْفَاسِقُونَ]

“Allah has promised those among you who have believed and done righteous deeds that He will surely make them successors upon the earth, just as He made those before them successors, and that He will surely establish for them their religion which He has approved for them, and that He will surely substitute for them, after their fear, security. They worship Me, not associating anything with Me. However whoever disbelieves after that - then it is those who are the wicked.” [TMQ Surah An-Nur: 55].

O Allah, hasten Your relief, and make us among those who deserve to be empowered on earth.
