On the evening of Thursday, 7/5/2026, Bahrain and America announced the submission of a draft resolution to the International Security Council regarding the situation in the Strait of Hormuz, on behalf of the UAE, Qatar, Kuwait, and Saudi Arabia.

Regarding what the insignificant rulers of the Muslims are doing in squandering the Ummah’s issues, and regardless of the outcomes of the Security Council’s discussions, which are always against the interests of the Muslims, the Central Media Office of Hizb ut Tahrir clarifies the following matters:

1.The recent aggressions by America and the Jews against Iran have revealed to you, O Muslims, the importance of the Strait of Hormuz and the other straits located in your lands, and that they constitute the lifeline of the global economy. This means that you possess the material lifeblood of the world economy: oil and gas, and you possess the strategic vital waterways that control a significant portion of global trade movement.

2.It is clear that this project submitted by the entities established in the Muslim lands is an exclusively American project, through which America seeks to obtain international legitimacy for the bullying it practices in the lands, seas, and skies of the Muslims. It also seeks to cover up its failure in its aggression against Iran, in the naval blockade it imposed, and in what it called the “Freedom Project,” which it has abandoned.

3.Political awareness requires viewing political events from the perspective of the Islamic Aqeedah. Accordingly, sovereignty over the Strait of Hormuz and the straits located in the Muslim lands must belong exclusively to the Muslims. It is not permissible for any authority to belong to major powers, the United Nations, its Security Council, or any other international organizations over these straits. Allah Almighty says:

[وَلَنْ يَجْعَلَ اللهُ لِلْكَافِرِينَ عَلَى الْمُؤْمِنِينَ سَبِيلاً]

“And never will Allah grant to the disbelievers a way over the believers”[Surah An-Nisa :141].

4.Muslims must undertake the resolution of their own issues themselves. It is not permissible for them to resort to major powers or international organizations to solve them, for the major powers are colonialist states coveting the lands and wealth of the Muslims, while international organizations are merely colonial tools in the hands of these states, used to achieve their interests in our lands.

5.The rulers of the Muslims are the very ones who preserve the fragmentation of the Islamic lands into weak entities and prevent the unity of the Islamic Ummah under the state of the Khilafah Rashidah (Rightly Guided Caliphate). Rather, they empower the colonial disbelievers over its lands.

6.There is no salvation for the Muslims from their miserable reality except by removing the petty rulers who dominate their necks, and by restoring governance by Islam through the establishment of the second Khilafah Rashidah on the method of Prophethood, for which Hizb ut Tahrir is working. Muslims must hasten to work with the party and support it, for it is the guide who does not deceive its people, and it is the true bearer of this project.
