 News Right Now: Glad Tidings

Welcome to this week’s News Right Now episode marking the centenary of the destruction of the Khilafah - Glad Tidings

The Messenger of Allah (saw) said:

“There will be Prophethood for as long as Allah wills it to be, then He will remove it when He wills, then there will be Khilafah on the Prophetic method and it will be for as long as Allah wills, then He will remove it when He wills, then there will be biting Kingship for as long as Allah Wills, then He will remove it when He wills, then there will be oppressive kingship for as long as Allah wills, then he will remove it when He wills, and then there will be Khilafah upon the Prophetic method” and then he remained silent. (Ahmed)

This hadith is a glad tiding for us that the Caliphate will return! The Prophet AS tells us not only will it return but it will be upon the method of Prophethood -model, methodology and representation. It will be like that of the rule of Abu Bakr, ‘Umar, ‘Uthman and ‘Ali (may Allah be pleased with them all!) who are known as the Khulafa’ al-Rashidin.

Allah (swt) also tells us in Surah Nur, verse 55

“Allah has promised those of you who believe and do good that He will certainly make them successors in the land, as He did with those before them; and will surely establish for them their faith which He has chosen for them; and will indeed change their fear into security—˹provided that˺ they worship Me, associating nothing with Me. But whoever disbelieves after this ˹promise˺, it is they who will be the rebellious.”

Allah (swt) fulfilled His promise to the first and best generation of the Islamic Ummah. They believed and fulfilled the commands of Islam and then Allah (swt) made them victorious over other nations. Although the victory of the Muslims is a promise and therefore inevitable, it still requires us, as an Ummah, to have full conviction in Allah (swt) and his Quran and we must prove, we as a collective, are worthy of this.

Allah tells us

“Indeed, Allah will not change the condition of a people until they change what is in themselves.” (Surah Ar-Ra’d verse 11)

The challenge for Muslims being faced today to bring Islam back as a system is to never tire from showing the fallacy of the capitalist way of life, the double standards, the lack of answers to the truth and the lack of clarity in solving problems. Our path to success today lies in truly exposing this corruption and the inability of this western secular system which gives us our ideas and thoughts today. So we must recognise both its flawed basis and its flawed solutions and expose these. We must recognise the truth of the deen we hold and its ability to solve man’s problems. In this path of struggle there are many thorns and tests, there will be many sacrifices to make, but truly in this lies our success! In this is our victory bi’itnillah.

This was the path taken by all of the Prophets and Messengers and it was the same path the Sahabah RAA went on and those who followed the prophetic method after them, the likes of giants in our history - Salahudin al Ayubi, Muhammad bin Qasim, Muhammad al Fathe and many others who saw the work that the islamic state at their time was needed and was a duty upon them and they wasted no time to rush in serving the Ummah.

Today, we too have this ability and opportunity to rush to gain the reward of this mighty action. It is Allah's mercy upon us that He gave a promise and glad-tiding for the Ummah of Islam that its fear will be substituted with security and more, and that its grave suffering will cease and that its sun will certainly shine tomorrow and will be a beacon of guidance to the world! How then can we not hasten to pour our efforts to work earnestly to bring back the rule of Allah (swt)! It's upon us and only us to witness the Khilafah’s establishment in return of fulfilling our duty and obligation towards Allah (swt) let us be motivated by the words of Allah (swt) when He says in [Surah Mujadilah verse 21].

”Allah has decreed: ‘Verily! It is I and My Messengers who shall be victorious’. Verily, Allah is All-Powerful, All-Mighty.”

May Allah bless us to witness the return of the Khilafah Ameen

Jazak Allahu Khayran for joining us
