News Right Now: Anything but Islam

The rulers of the United Arab Emirates recently opened a Hindu temple in the Jebel Ali area costing a whooping 16 million dollars! Prior to this they have opened many Churches and a Synagogue too – all in the name of ‘Tolerance’ for which even a Ministry was created to implement such projects. It seems as if there’s many more such places of worship in the pipeline.

What makes this so bad is the fact that Hindus in India have been treating the Muslims so bad; from turning Muslim mosques into Hindu temples, to assaulting Muslim women in the streets, to banning them from wearing the veil in universities, the expulsion of Muslims from their homes in Assam, to the decades of persecuting and killing the Muslims of Kashmir and placing them under direct military rule, to the campaign to withdraw citizenship from the Muslims of India and depriving them of their civil rights, to the fabrication of terrorism charges against Muslim youth and their arrest on flimsy pretexts that have no logic, all the way to the raids of Hindu gangs on Muslims in the streets and markets – yet the UAE hear, see and say nothing but instead raise up to build the Hindu community a 16 million dollar temple!!

Similarly, the UAE is deaf, dumb and blind with what happens in the blessed land of Palestine. The illegal Jewish state which occupies and makes daily life so difficult and horrible for our Muslim brethren, with them they sit and eat, with them they are friends, with them they make deals. Whereas, both the Hindu community and the Jewish community, who do today’s biggest open cruelty to the Muslims, claim to have the best lives in the UAE. The Jews, especially, live very comfortably with the ability to open big businesses and can invest in various fields such as real estate and jewelry trading, their population is increasing whereby they could up their own Jewish clinics, supermarkets and meat shops.

It’s absolutely bizarre that these leaders give and allow such a life for the citizens of such states who do the exact opposite – treat them in the most inhumane ways - to their fellow Muslims. Are we really surprised? Our leaders, all of them, are betrayers and traitors! They’ve proven this time and time again and show no remorse and shame in this! The Emirates portray themselves as affluent, luxurious and with developed infrastructure. They are proud and conceited, wanting to promote the Western culture and lifestyle with expensive events, under the guise of “modernization” and “progress.” This translates for them as leaving behind Islam, the care and attention to its citizens that Islam obliges upon those in their positions and simply wasting resources, in an attempt to create a fake luxurious lifestyle for the rich and elite. The regimes in the Gulf States do not represent the Muslims. They do nothing but serve the interests of the Western colonial powers.

If they wanted they could hugely impact the current sufferings and trials they Muslims face today. With the wealth and blessings of oil that Allah has bestowed upon the region, they could easily serve the interests of Muslims. They could send a clear message to India and occupied Palestine to threaten them or even hold them to account for their mistreatment of Muslims using their possession of a huge media complex, which includes international and regional media outlets, in addition to their electronic armies. The influence this would have, is immeasurable. They could put a drastic end to these states citizens settling, living high fly lives with such comforts, refusing entry to them, just like India and the Jewish entity do to Muslims around the World.

Yes, the rulers of the Emirates have all these tools and capabilities, but they do not have a heart that is jealous for Islam and Muslims, nor of their sanctities. For them to do this, it would mean an end to their puerile vision to attract the World as being the best, even if it means the Muslims suffering and dying by the UAE’s biggest investors and allies. How low can their shamelessness go? Do they forget the words of Allah (swt):

( يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ لَا تَتَّخِذُوا۟ ٱلْيَهُودَ وَٱلنَّصَـٰرَىٰٓ أَوْلِيَآءَ ۘ بَعْضُهُمْ أَوْلِيَآءُ بَعْضٍۢ ۚ وَمَن يَتَوَلَّهُم مِّنكُمْ فَإِنَّهُۥ مِنْهُمْ ۗ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَا يَهْدِى ٱلْقَوْمَ ٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَ * فَتَرَى ٱلَّذِينَ فِى قُلُوبِهِم مَّرَضٌۭ يُسَـٰرِعُونَ فِيهِمْ يَقُولُونَ نَخْشَىٰٓ أَن تُصِيبَنَا دَآئِرَ ةٌۭ ۚ فَعَسَى ٱللَّهُ أَن يَأْتِىَ بِٱلْفَتْحِ أَوْ أَمْرٍۢ مِّنْ عِندِهِۦ فَيُصْبِحُوا۟ عَلَىٰ مَآ أَسَرُّوا۟ فِىٓ أَنفُسِهِمْ نَـٰدِمِينَ)

“O believers! Take neither Jews nor Christians as guardians—they are guardians of each other. Whoever does so will be counted as one of them. Surely Allah does not guide the wrongdoing people. * You see those with sickness in their hearts racing for their guardianship, saying ˹in justification˺, “We fear a turn of fortune will strike us.” But perhaps Allah will bring about ˹your˺ victory or another favour by His command, and they will regret what they have hidden in their hearts.” [Surah Al-Ma‘idah, verse 51 to 52]

How befitting is this ayah to the situation of our rulers today!

Today our rulers are making ministries of tolerance exclusively for us Muslims to be accepting and inviting to Jews, Hindus, Christians, etc, regardless of their behaviours towards us and our Ummah. Yet these same leaders have the biggest problem with us also practicing our values and principles, us wanting to uphold our morals and standards and us wanting to abide by the Quran and Sunnah. There's no room for tolerance then. There's zero ‘accepting’ and ‘inviting’ then.

Alhamdulillah for Islam, which has given us the clearest framework of rules laws and system. There is no confusion and no ambiguity. So there's no excuse for these 'Emirati' rulers to ever justify their behaviours and actions. There's no justifications behind these temples being built and these deals they secure.

May Allah guide us all to that which pleases him most and allow for us to work and witness his justice in the form of Khilafah on the earth. Ameen!
