Before delving into the repercussions of this war, it is imperative to first examine the context that preceded it, specifically, the participating states, their underlying frames of reference, and the guiding principles that drive them.
We begin with the crisis of the capitalist ideology and the attendant moral collapse. In recent centuries, the capitalist ideology has evolved by systematically excluding the spiritual dimension from its discourse, establishing itself instead upon the absolute separation of religion from life. This separation has engendered a materialistic brutality that has eclipsed humanity, dragging its adherents down to moral depths that sink even lower than those of beasts. Indeed, the Epstein scandal, and others of its kind, are perhaps nothing more than symptoms of a structural decay inherent in a civilization that worships pleasure, hedonism and self-interest as its very deity. It is through this narrow lens of material self-interest that we must seek to understand the wars currently raging across the Middle East.
First: Operation Al-Aqsa Flood and the Thwarting of the “New Middle East”:
Operation Al-Aqsa Flood has, perhaps, effectively blocked the path of the sinful normalization projects in which tyrannical regimes have become embroiled. Amidst the arrogance of the U.S. administration, represented by Trump and his faction, efforts were initiated to engineer a “New Middle East” that would not merely sideline Deen from politics, but would aim to eradicate any authentic Shariah manifestation through the Abraham Accords.
The strategic objective behind the current escalation against Iran and regional powers is not the propagation of democracy. Instead, it is to clear the field so that the Jewish entity may emerge as the sole, undisputed regional power possessing a missile arsenal and nuclear ambitions, thereby safeguarding a people whom the Quran describes as the most covetous of humankind for life.
Secondly: The Illusion of Utility, When the Task of the “Tissue Paper” Is Complete:
Reality reveals that the Iranian regime has rendered immense services to the “head of evil,” America, in Afghanistan, Iraq, Yemen, and Syria; a fact that Iranian politicians have brazenly admitted. Indeed, Iran has played the role of the sinful hand utilized by the West to strike down any sincere movement within the Islamic Ummah and to entrench regimes of corruption, regimes that have transformed the lands of Muslims into realms of plunder, brutality, and injustice. However, the most critical lesson here concerns the expiration of utility. In the capitalist ethos, such regimes are not regarded as allies, but instead as mere tissue paper which are expendable, temporary tools to be tossed into the trash the moment their utility has been exhausted. Thus, we offer this counsel to anyone in those lands who retains even a shred of intellect: salvation lies not in throwing oneself into the embrace of the West, but instead in severing all ties with the systems of kufr (disbelief), governing the land according to the Shariah Law of Allah (swt), and establishing hostility as the natural state of affairs toward those who have wreaked destruction, ruin havoc and corruption throughout our lands.
Third: International Disarray and the Shattering of Prestige:
Contemporary events demonstrate that material power is not everything:
- Russia: It believed it would decisively resolve the Ukraine issue within days, yet became mired in a quagmire of attrition that has dragged on for years.
- The Jewish entity: Despite absolute international support and shameful Arab inaction, it failed after many long months to militarily secure the release of the majority of its captives. It succeeded only through cunning and maneuvering.
This disarray has created an internal rift within the Western camp. Voices have been raised, such as that of Senator Chris Van Hollen, who described America’s entanglement in the war as foolish, and Senator Rand Paul, who criticized the exorbitant costs. It even extends to Jewish organizations like J Street and Jewish Voice for Peace (JVP), which have condemned the war on ethical grounds. Although these voices may stem from pragmatic motives, or a concern for their own well-being, they nonetheless confirm the fracturing of the domestic front of the capitalist order.
Fourth: A New Bu’ath and the Glad Tidings of the Khilafah:
Muslims today must view these conflicts, specifically the Russian-Ukrainian war and the turmoil among regional powers as a “New Bu’ath,” resembling the era of conflict between the Romans and the Persians, that coincided with the advent of the Prophethood of Muhammad (saw) and was referenced in the Quran, in Surah Ar-Rum. The mutual attrition of major powers constitutes a divine prelude to the collapse of these empires, as well as a preparation for Muslims to seize the initiative. Furthermore, the downfall of tyrants in Ash-Sham and Iraq, along with the shaking of the thrones of various regional and international powers, serve as divine signs for those striving to establish the Shariah Law of Allah (saw). Indeed, the world today groans beneath the darkness of Western civilization, finding no savior other than the civilization of Islam, which alone can put an end to this savagery.
Conclusion: Allah’s Promise Never Fails
The entities we see today, heavily armed as they are, are in reality frailer than a spider’s web, when set against the power and divine nasr (support) of Allah (swt). Indeed, He (swt) who destroyed tyrants, both in ages past and in modern times, is fully capable of completing His favor and fulfilling the glad tidings of His Prophet (saw) regarding the establishment of the Khilafah Rashidah (Rightly-Guided Caliphate) on the Method of Prophethood. Allah (swt) says,
[إِنَّا لَنَنصُرُ رُسُلَنَا وَالَّذِينَ آمَنُوا فِي الْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا وَيَوْمَ يَقُومُ الْأَشْهَادُ] “We certainly help Our messengers and the believers, both in this worldly life and on the Day the witnesses will stand forth for testimony” [TMQ Surah Al-Ghafir, 40:51].
