The Prisoners’ Media Office has revealed that Palestinian female prisoners in the prisons of the Jewish entity were subjected to serious assaults and violations in October 2026 under the pretext of “braided hair”! The assaults included lifting the khimars (head scarf) of a number of them to inspect their hair, isolating 17 female prisoners and forcing them to undo their braids, in addition to heavily spraying tear gas and throwing sound grenades. This caused several female prisoners to suffocate and forced others to lie face down for an hour. Pepper spray was also sprayed inside a room containing 15 female prisoners, causing vomiting and injuries among elderly women, and resulting in a pregnant woman being transferred to the clinic.

This elaborate abuse of female prisoners coincides with a report issued by the Palestinian Prisoners’ Club, which revealed that the occupation authorities are holding 88 female prisoners in their prisons, including 21 held under administrative detention without charge or trial. They are subjected to various forms of punishment amid deteriorating detention conditions since 7 October 2023.

The documented violations in Damon Prison indicate that female prisoners are being subjected to a system of punishment that goes beyond depriving them of their freedom to infringing upon their health, dignity, and human relationships. They are subjected to isolation, abuse, medical neglect, and restrictions on visits and basic rights. Scabies has spread among the detainees as a result of the deliberate withdrawal of hygiene supplies by the prison administration, the denial of replacement clothing, and leaving them in an environment lacking the most basic sanitary conditions. The repeated raids, isolation, and deprivation, alongside repressive practices ordered by the so-called National Security Minister of the Jewish entity, Ben-Gvir, reveal a policy aimed at subjugating the female prisoners and breaking their ability to remain steadfast.

The female prisoners face a painful and abhorrent situation, yet the reaction goes no further than demands here and verbal protests there, calling for urgent intervention to stop the assaults against them, protect their privacy and dignity, ensure medical care for injured, pregnant, and sick prisoners, and enable the relevant international bodies to examine their detention conditions!

The Palestinian Authority neither sees nor hears any of this. It is preoccupied with internal power struggles, legislative elections, stealing people’s livelihoods and resources, pursuing those who enjoin what is right and forbid what is wrong, and continuing its shameful concessions in international forums while begging them for aid, support, and assistance!

O Muslims everywhere! The chaste and pure female prisoners are being abused, and their dignity and deen are being violated, to the point that their khimars have been forcibly removed, while you remain silent! Where are the honour, gallantry, and protectiveness over women’s dignity that once existed even among the disbelievers of Quraysh, who would not accept that women’s dignity and honour be harmed in any way? Yet today, we see our women being abused by the vilest of Allah’s creation, and you do not rise to help them. Instead, you have ignored their suffering and the crimes committed against them! Where do you stand in all of this, especially when the war against Islam and the Islamic clothing is raging?

Where are you in relation to the saying of Allah, the Exalted:

[وَمَا لَكُمْ لَا تُقَاتِلُونَ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ وَالْمُسْتَضْعَفِينَ مِنَ الرِّجَالِ وَالنِّسَاءِ وَالْوِلْدَانِ الَّذِينَ يَقُولُونَ رَبَّنَا أَخْرِجْنَا مِنْ هَذِهِ الْقَرْيَةِ الظَّالِمِ أَهْلُهَا وَاجْعَل لَّنَا مِن لَّدُنكَ وَلِياً وَاجْعَل لَّنَا مِن لَّدُنكَ نَصِيراً]

“And what is wrong with you that you do not fight in the cause of Allah and for the oppressed among men, women, and children who say, ‘Our Lord, take us out of this town whose people are oppressors, and appoint for us from Yourself a protector, and appoint for us from Yourself a helper’?”[Surah An-Nisa:75]. So seek support for your women and your honour who are imprisoned in the prisons of the Jews, perhaps Allah will bring about something after that.
