Fifteen displaced children, most of them infants, have died in Syria due to severe cold and lack of health care, according to the UNICEF report on Tuesday 15/1/2019. The children, 13 of them under the age of one, died in Al-Rukban Camp in southeastern Syria, near the border with Jordan.

Yemen faces the worst famine in the world in 100 years due to the Anglo-American

According to UN sources, Yemen is currently facing the world’s worst famine in 100 years. The scale of the catastrophe has been likened to that faced by Africa in the 1980’s. A BBC recent report has quoted that according to Lisa Grande, the UN's Humanitarian Coordinator for Yemen, as many as 13 million civilians are at risk of dying from lack of food in the next three months.
